As Netanyahu met Egypt’s El-Sisi in New York to discuss Mideast issues, Abbas prepared to make life worse for Palestinians living in Gaza.

Following his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York.

The two leaders appeared collegial as they discussed issues pertaining to the Middle East and cooperation between the two countries.

Netanyahu and El-Sisi discussed “the peace process, and stressed the importance of renewing negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis in order to form a comprehensive and just solution to the Palestinian problem,” according to an Egyptian spokesman. Israel did not comment.

Israel and Egypt have long jointly handled the threat of terror from Gaza, in addition to the opening of travel and trade lines between both countries and Gaza.

According to Channel 10 News, Netanyahu also met with El-Sisi on May 22, when Netanyahu allegedly flew with advisers and security guards to Cairo, where he stayed for just a few hours, taking part in the breaking of the Ramadan fast before returning to Israel.

An Egyptian intelligence delegation arrived in Gaza this past week as part of efforts to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which rules Gaza.

On Thursday, a landmark $15 billion natural-gas deal was announced, in which Israeli and Egyptian companies will buy into a pipeline transferring gas from Israel to Egypt.

Abbas to Take Gaza from Bad to Worse

Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority President Abbas is in the midst of planning to impose additional sanctions on the Gaza Strip, ‎Palestinian officials were quoted by Arab media as ‎saying on Wednesday.‎

According to the reports, Abbas, who is currently in ‎New York to attend the 73rd U.N. General Assembly, plans to convene his government upon his ‎return to Ramallah and outline a series of new ‎financial sanctions against Hamas, the ‎terrorist organization that rules Gaza.‎

Hamas routed Abbas’s Fatah-led government from power ‎in Gaza in 2007, effectively splitting the ‎Palestinian population ‎into two separate political ‎entities. Egyptian efforts over the past ‎‎decade to ‎‎‎promote a ‎‎reconciliation between the rival ‎‎‎Palestinian ‎‎factions—the latest ‎‎brokered ‎‎in ‎October 2017—‎have so far failed.‎

The consistent failure to reinstate the P.A.’s power in Gaza has prompted Abbas to ‎impose a series of crippling financial sanctions on ‎its rulers, including suspending the salaries of ‎thousands of Hamas government employees and cutting ‎P.A. payments for the electricity used in Gaza, in an ‎effort to regain control of the Strip.

These moves have significantly aggravated the already dire economic ‎reality in Gaza. With unemployment exceeding ‎‎50 percent and no growth to speak of, the World Bank has ‎recently warned the coastal enclave’s economy was on the verge of “immediate collapse.”

Abbas also hopes ‎the sanctions on Hamas will pressure Israel to resume the ‎Israeli-Palestinian peace process, deadlocked since ‎‎2014, the media reports suggested.

PM Netanyahu met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York on Thursday, delivering a blunt message from the Jewish state.

By: United with Israel Staff

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, raising a number of critical issues for the Jewish state.

Among the top items on Netanyahu’s agenda was his request that International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano inspect a new Iranian site that the Israeli premiere exposed as an undercover nuclear facility in his address to the UN General Assembly this week.

In his UN speech, Netanyahu revealed what he described as a “secret atomic warehouse” in Tehran, which he says proves Iran never stopped trying to develop nuclear weapons. He also referred Israel’s heist of half a ton of evidence from an Iranian warehouse related to the regime’s Project Amad, Tehran’s covert nuclear program, material that supports his contentions at the UN General Assembly.

In addition to the Iranian threat, Netanyahu also raised the issue of Israel’s captives held by the Hamas terror group in Gaza. Netanyahu told Guterres the UN must step up international pressure on Hamas to release the captives, who have mental health issues, and to return the bodies of IDF soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, which Hamas refuses to release.

Finally, the prime minister also told Guterres that the UN must uphold its obligations as a peacekeeper, using its UNIFIL forces to prevent further escalations from Lebanon, where the Hezbollah terror organization has over 100,000 missiles pointed at the Jewish state.

NETANYAHU WALKS A FINE LINE AS TRUMP EMBRACES TWO-STATE PARADIGM

Trump’s team declined to use the term up until Wednesday, when the president surprised many with his endorsement of the two-state solution.

Speaking with CNN, NPR and others, Netanyahu said he was less interested in “labels” for solutions than their contents, detailing a settlement with the Palestinians that grants them all of the benefits of sovereignty without the ability to attack to the Jewish state.

“My view of a potential agreement is that the Palestinians have all the powers to govern themselves but none of the powers to threaten us. The key power that must, must not be in their hands is the question of security,” he told NPR’s Steve Inskeep. “I don’t want them either as citizens of Israel or subjects of Israel. But I think there is not an either-or model. I think we have a third model at the very least, which is what I’m talking about: basically all the powers of sovereignty, or nearly all the powers, but not the ones of security.”

Trump’s Middle East peace team has been working for 20 months on a comprehensive proposal for a settlement to the conflict, likely to be rolled out by the end of the year, according to the president, who sat before Netanyahu on Wednesday told him that he has concluded two states “works best.”

The prime minister told CNN’s Elise Labott that he would “seriously” look at the White House plan, although dodging her question on how he would respond to a series of Trump-backed proposals disadvantageous to him politically.

He has mentioned the idea of a Palestinian “state-minus” in the past, conditioned on a near-permanent Israeli military presence in the Jordan Valley.

“Look, in the Middle East, which is littered with failed states, that’s often the best you can do,” he continued. “They would have those rights in their own territory. In other words, they have their own parliament, they have their own government, they have their own flag, they have their own anthem, they have their own tax system.

Plot to Attack Israel with Chemical Weapons Uncovered in Germany

A Syrian national recently arrested in Germany was part of an apparent plot to attack Israeli targets with chemical weapons, the German Bild newspaper reported.

Last Thursday, Germany s special police unit, the SEK, arrested a 21-year-old Syrian man in Berlin. At the time, police said the suspect was wanted in connection with an April 14th assault in the German capital.

The suspect allegedly assaulted a man he claimed owed him 4,000 Euros, kicking the victim in the head and holding a knife to his throat while demanding the money.

On Thursday night, however, it was revealed that the suspect was also wanted due to his alleged terrorist ties, and that he had been behind a plot to attack Israeli targets with chemical weapons.

Local police acknowledged that the suspect had been taken into custody last week, without confirming details regarding the alleged terror plot. A police spokesperson did say that the suspect was very dangerous , and that he was under investigation for a matter unrelated to the assault charges stemming from the April 14th incident.

German media outlets, however, reported that the Syrian national had planned to attack Israeli targets as part of an Islamic holy war on the Jewish state.

To this end, the suspect recruited other Syrians and reportedly prepared an explosive device. The bomb was apparently intended to be used as part of a chemical weapon attack.

The precise type of chemicals and the target have not been disclosed.

Germany s Federal Intelligence Service said it had been tipped off by a foreign agency several months ago regarding the suspect s plans. Local authorities later tapped the suspect s phones.

Police conducted a search of the suspect s residence, but say they found no incriminating evidence. The suspect apparently entered the country illegally, using a fake Libyan passport.

IDF Reveals Satellite Images of Hezbollah Missile Sites in the Heart of Beirut

After Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday revealed to the UN General Assembly that Hezbollah had placed missile sites in Lebanon, the IDF Spokesperson s office released satellite images showing Hezbollah s precise missile-conversion infrastructure in the heart of Beirut.

Hezbollah officials made a conscious decision to transfer the center of gravity of the precision missile project, which they have been dealing with for some time, to the civilian space in the heart of Beirut, the IDF spokesperson said.

The missile sites were placed in three locations: the Hezbollah soccer team s stadium; near the Hariri International Airport; and in a marina in the heart of a residential neighborhood and close to civilian buildings, located only 500 meters from the airport s landing strip.

The accuracy project is carried out using Iranian knowledge, technology, funding and guidance, the IDF spokesperson said, adding that one of the attempts to transfer from Syria to Lebanon machines designed to convert precision rockets was attacked by Israel on September 17, 2018.

In addition to the exposed sites, there are other sites in and around Beirut where Hezbollah is working to establish similar facilities. Israel monitors these sites with a variety of capabilities and means, the IDF Spokesperson said.

According to the IDF Spokesperson s announcement, Israel holds a great deal of information about the accuracy project, and prepares a variety of operational responses, methods and tools:

Extensive efforts have led to the fact that, as of September 2018, there is no remaining active factory in Lebanon that carries out industrial conversion to precision weapons, the Spokesperson said.

FEMALE CHRISTIAN VICTIMS OF BOKO HARAM

And leftist feminists’ deafening silence.

Among the world’s suffering masses are the adherents of Christianity, the most persecuted of religions. Indeed, aside from what our establishment media would like you to believe, it is not Muslims who constitute the most oppressed of the world’s religions. It is Christians. Moreover, about 80% of the time, the oppression under which Christians in Africa and the Middle East are made to live is inflicted upon them by Islam.

And unlike women, or at least self-described “feminist” women, in the West who would have us think that they’re injured every time a man (or, more specifically, a white heterosexual man) fails to use gender-neutral pronouns, or expresses his opposition to abortion, Christian women in places like Nigeria are made to genuinely suffer.

Take the case of Leah Sharibu.  Leah is a 15 year-old Nigerian, a Christian, who was taken from her family by Boko Haram thugs eight months ago.  Yet recently, matters took another turn.

According to Open Doors, an organization dedicated to helping persecuted Christians, Boko Haram is now threatening to murder Leah unless the demands that it has issued to the Nigerian government are met.  Considering that it just released a video of the murder of a 25 year-old aid worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross, Saifura Hussaini Ahmed Khorsa, a woman who it was holding along with Leah, Boko Haram’s threats must be taken seriously.

Khorsa was kidnapped on March 1 when Boko Haram set upon the town of Rann, near the Cameroon border. In addition to Leah, two other women were abducted, two relief workers—Hauwa Mohammed Liman, a midwife employed by the International Committee of the Red Cross, and Alice Loksha Ngaddah, a nurse for UNICEF.

Upon releasing the video of the murder of Khorsa, a spokesperson for Boko Haram announced that the terrorist organization had “contacted the government through writing and…audio messages,” but to no avail.

This being so, Boko Haram would leave “a message of blood.”

The message is simple: “The other nurse and midwife will be executed in similar manner in one month, including Leah Sharibu.”

Leah was kidnapped on February 13 of this year when Boko Haram attacked her school and carried off 100 girls. Every other girl had been released since then. Leah is the only one who remains in captivity because, remarkably, she refused to renounce Christ.

Recently, Boko Haram released what is thought to be a “scripted” audio recording of Leah:

I also plead to the members of the public to help my mother, my father, my younger brother and relatives. Kindly help me out of my predicament. I am begging you to treat me with compassion. I am calling on the government, particularly the President, to pity me and get me out of this serious situation. Thank you.”

Emanuel Egebe, a Nigerian activist based in the United States, notes that in murdering an aide worker—and an Islamic worker at that—Boko Haram has changed strategies and upped the ante. “To my knowledge,” Egebe remarked, “this is the first execution by Boko Haram of an aid worker for failure to respond to a demand.”

Egebe continued:

“Boko Haram generally executes Christian males who refuse to convert, men and women—Christian or Muslim—who work for security services…It is contrary to Boko Haram’s rules of engagement to execute Muslim women [.]”

He concludes that just “when you don’t think they can sink any lower, they hit a new nadir!”

To be sure, it isn’t that Boko Haram has had any reservations about murdering “United Nations diplomats and aid workers…including Korean doctors, polio vaccinators, etc.”  Yet “this is the first execution for failure to meet their ransom demands.”

Egebe, though, is as much in the dark as anyone else as to what exactly it is Boko Haram is demanding from the Nigerian government.

In the meantime, the fate of this young Christian woman, Leah Sharibu, and two other female aid workers hangs in the balance.

Yet the self-styled champions of women and enemies of “Islamophobia” in the West won’t utter a peep about this ugly fact.
