Φίλοι μου / μας!
Παγκόσμιος σάλος, σχεδόν, ξέσπασε για την αποχώρηση των Η.Π.Α. από το Αφγανιστάν!.. Θα έπρεπε; Κατ’ εμάς, όχι!
Το μόνον που θα έπρεπε να απασχολήσει την λεγόμενη “Διεθνή Κοινότητα” ήταν η ασφαλής αποχώρηση – εκκένωση όσων αποστολών ευρίσκονταν στην χώρα αυτή και μέχρις εκεί, αφού τα λοιπά που έλαβαν χώρα ήσαν όλα απολύτως προβλέψιμα ως προς την διεξαγωγή τους και αναφέρομαι κυρίως στα “ανθρωπιστικά δικαιώματα” (και όχι “ανθρώπινα”, κατά την άποψή μας), όπως αυτά “πλάστηκαν” στην Δύση και… απλώθηκαν παγκοσμίως, γενόμενα, αναλόγως πάντοτε των όποιων περιοχών και επικρατουσών σ’ αυτές συνθηκών, αποδεκτά ή “demi” αποδεκτά ή και καθόλου αποδεκτά!
Μήπως, για παράδειγμα, δεν γνωρίζαμε ότι με την αποχώρηση των Αμερικανικών ΕΔ από την χώρα αυτήν, θα έπεφταν, σαν τα όρνια, πάνω της, το Ιράν, η Ρωσία, η Κίνα και η Τουρκία, χώρες που συνθέτουν σήμερα, έστω και “εξ απαλών ονύχων”, (εννοώ και οι 4 μαζί), μια καθ’ όλα ανίερη “στρατηγική συμμαχία”, έναν νέο “Άξονα του Κακού” ή ορθότερα, αν δει κανείς τον Χάρτη με την θέση των χωρών αυτών, μια νέα… “Βεντάλια ή Ριπίδιο του Κακού”;
Πολλοί στον Πλανήτη, έμπλεοι οι περισσότεροι υποκρισίας ασφαλώς, … εξανέστησαν και διέρρηξαν τα… ιμάτιά τους με την αμερικανική απόφαση “αντίο” από την κεντρο-ασιατική αυτήν χώρα.
Πρόκειται γι’ αυτούς, οι οποίοι θέλουν την ανάμειξη των Η.Π.Α. στα παγκόσμια πολιτικά πράγματα, μόνον και μόνον για να τους υβρίζουν και να λένε “κυττάτε τί κάνουν οι Αμερικανοί”, κλπ, τις περισσότερες φορές συκοφαντώντάς τους, εμφορούμενοι όλοι από το παρωχημένο “μότο” “φονιάδες των λαών Αμερικάνοι”, όντας οι περισσότεροι, κυρίως στην Ευρώπη θα έλεγα και περισσότερο στην εισέτι… Κομμουνιστική Ελλάδα, λάτρεις της παλαιάς Σοβιετίας και του όλου συστήματος του Κομμουνισμού, σύστημα που τρέμουν κάποιοι, στην χώρα που γεννήθηκε η “Δημοκρατία”, να το αποκαλέσουν αυτό ακριβώς που ήταν, ήτοι “Κόκκινος ή και… Κίτρινος Φασισμός”, αναλόγως του αν αναφερόμαστε στην παλιά ΕΣΣΔ ή στην Κίνα, την ίδια στιγμή που οι ελληνικής καταγωγής, (και όχι Έλληνες), “Κοκκινο-Φασίστες”, με πρώτον τον ΓΓ τους, τον Βλαχόμαγκα Κουτσούμπα, αντιλαμβανόμενοι και γνωρίζοντες τί σήμαινε και τί σημαίνει Κομμουνισμός, έχουν ρητορικά αποστεί από την λέξη Κομμουνισμός, (όπως ο διάολος από το λιβάνι), κάνοντας πλέον λόγο για… Σοσιαλισμό (sic)!..
Υπήρξαν ή και υπάρχουν ασφαλώς και εκείνοι (πάρα πολύ λιγότεροι σε αριθμό φυσικά), οι οποίοι ασχολούνται με τα τεκταινόμενα στον Πλανήτη, γνωρίζοντας, άλλος περισσότερο και άλλος λιγότερο, τα όποια γεγονότα και την διάστασή τους σε μικρότερο ή μεγαλύτερο βαθμό ο καθείς, οι οποίοι πραγματικά ανησύχησαν με την αποχώρηση των Η.Π.Α. από το Αφγανιστάν, μετά ακριβώς από μια 20ετία!
Αυτοί είναι και οι σοβαροί παγκοσμίως δημοκρατικοί πολίτες, που κινούμενοι από την λειτουργία του μυαλού τους και μόνον και όχι από τον αείποτε ιογενή φανατισμό των προηγουμένως αναφερθέντων, αναρωτήθηκαν και αναρωτιούνται για την εξέλιξη πλέον των πραγμάτων και (!) στο Αφγανιστάν και (!) στην Κ. Ασία, αλλά κυρίως για τις νέες παγκόσμιες ισορροπίες, όπως αυτές πιθανότατα να αναδιαμορφωθούν στο άμεσο μέλλον!
Αυτό φαίνεται ότι συνέβη αμέσως μετά από την αποχώρηση των ΕΔ των Η.Π.Α. από το Αφγανιστάν, από την μια με την συμφωνία των όμαιμων (και συνεπώς και συγκλινουσών νοοτροπιών) Η.Π.Α. – Μ. Βρετανίας – Αυστραλίας (“AUKUS”) και από την άλλη με την προσέγγιση των χωρών της “Βεντάλιας” και κυρίως αυτήν της Κίνας προς το νέο αφγανικό καθεστώς, η οποία προέβη και στην σοβαροτέρα προσέγγιση των Ταλιμπάν και του νέου “Ισλαμικού” τους Κράτους.
Ας εξετάσουμε τώρα, ακροθιγώς βεβαίως, τί συνέβη και κυρίως να “δούμε” την στάση και συμπεριφορά στο Πεδίο της αμερικανικής Κ-Β Μπάϊντεν.
Η Α/Κ-Β υλοποίησε στο Αφγανιστάν ειλημμένη από την προηγουμένη Α/Κ-Β Τραμπ απόφαση, η οποία προέβλεπε την αποχώρηση των ΑΕΔ από την χώρα του Ταλιμπάν, μέχρι την 30 Αυγ. του 2021.
Έπραξε σωστά;
Η απάντηση είναι αμέσως “ΝΑΙ”! Έπραξε ορθότατα! Κατάλαβαν πλέον και οι… Κομμουνίζοντες τα τελευταία κυρίως χρόνια (Κλίντον – Ομπάμα) “Δημοκρατικοί”, πως είναι κατ’ ελάχιστον ΝΤΡΟΠΗ και ΟΝΕΙΔΟΣ για τις Η.Π.Α. να σκοτώνονται τα παιδιά της “ανά την γην” για τις ελευθερίες και τα δικαιώματα “τρίτων”, λαών που στην συνέχεια και αφού έχουν βοηθηθεί τα μέγιστα από την Αμερική, υβρίζουν τις Η.Π.Α. και την κάθε Κ-Β της ζητώντας και τα… ρέστα (sic), αφοδεύοντας σχεδόν πάνω στο αίμα των Αμερικανών στρατιωτικών που πολέμησαν γι’ αυτούς!..
Οι όποιες εξαιρέσεις ενισχύουν τον κανόνα αυτόν, κανόνας που έγινε ορατός, ακόμα και σε… τυφλούς, ιδίως τα τελευταία χρόνια!
Πρώτος ο Ρεπουμπλικανός Πρόεδρος Τραμπ, όντας μη πολιτικός, αλλά περισσότερο ένας πρακτικός πολιτικός… επιχειρηματίας, έδωσε την λύση στο πρόβλημα αυτό, που ουσιαστικά καθύβριζε τις Η.Π.Α. και προσέβαλε σκαιότατα την αξιοπρέπειά της, πρόβλημα που και άλλοι Πρόεδροι, πριν απ’ αυτόν, έβλεπαν αλλά δεν τολμούσαν να το… αγγίξουν, παρ’ ότι έβλεπαν την αχαριστία, κατ’ ελάχιστον, των όποιων χωρών οι Η.Π.Α. παντοιοτρόπως συνέδραμαν!..
Ο Τραμπ διέσωσε και την αξιοπρέπεια, όπως και την υπερηφάνεια των Η.Π.Α. και του λαού της, αλλά παράλληλα με την απόφασή του να γυρίσει πίσω στην Πατρίδα τα όποια αμερικανικά στρατεύματα από τις διάφορες περιοχές του Κόσμου, όπου αυτά ήσαν και αρκετά εξ αυτών είναι ακόμα διασκορπισμένα, πέτυχε να αναδείξει την γύμνια, όπως και την πολιτική αλητεία των όποιων… αχαρίστων βοηθουμένων χωρών, φέρνοντας τους ηγέτες τους προ των μεγάλων προς τους λαούς τους ευθυνών τους, αλλά και να δώσει στους λαούς γενικώς του Πλανήτη να καταλάβουν, και ορθότερα να θυμηθούν, ότι οι Η.Π.Α. είναι υπερδύναμη!
Έτσι ο Τραμπ είπε πχ “θα φύγω από την Συρία” και έφυγε σχεδόν εξ ολοκλήρου, είπε ακόμα “θα φύγω από το Αφγανιστάν” και αυτό υλοποιήθηκε από τον Κο Μπάϊντεν, ο οποίος αντελήφθη την παραπάνω περιγραφείσα ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑ(!), γεγονός για το οποίο αξίζει συγχαρητηρίων, συγχαρητήρια που του πρέπουν διπλά, διότι ΤΟΛΜΗΣΕ(!) να ακολουθήσει πολιτική του αντιπάλου του στις Η.Π.Α. Κόμματος, δείχνοντας, στην πράξη βεβαίως, ότι προτάσσει και αυτός, μετά από τον Πρόεδρο Τραμπ, το συμφέρον της Πατρίδος του και την ευζωϊα των Αμερικανών πολιτών, αλλά κυρίως δείχνοντας στην πράξη πως είναι ένας ακομπλεξάριστος πολιτικός, ο οποίος δεν διστάζει να αναγνωρίσει το ΔΙΚΑΙΟ(!) και το ΔΙΚΙΟ(!), όπου αυτά ευρίσκονται, ακόμα και αν με τα ευρωπαϊκά πιθανώς (και σίγουρα με τα ελληνικά) πολιτικά δεδομένα, αυτά είναι στην πλευρά του πολιτικού του ανταγωνιστή!
Ο Μπάϊντεν, όπως και ο ΥΠΕΞ του Κος Μπλίνκεν ασφαλώς, ως ο “καθ’ ύλην αρμόδιος”, απέδειξαν στην πράξη με την στάση τους στο Αφγανιστάν, και με πολύ θα έλεγα ηχηρό θόρυβο, ίσως με ισχυρότατο γδούπο, πως είναι άτομα με διευρυμένο πνεύμα και αντίληψη, ακομπλεξάριστα, όπως προείπα, και πολιτικά άκρως εύστροφα και ευέλικτα, γεγονός που ευθέως τους χαρακτηρίζει πρωτίστως ως… Πατριώτες!..
Αν “δει” κανείς την παρούσα αμερικανική (χρονικά μικρή) ασκηθείσα, αλλά και ασκούμενη εξωτερική πολιτική της “ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΚΗΣ” Κ-Β των Η.Π.Α. (Μπάϊντεν – Μπλίνκεν), και επίσης και εκείνη της προηγουμένης Κ-Β, των Τραμπ – Πομπέο, πολιτική κατ’ εμάς πολύ επιτυχημένη, όσο πιθανώς και να αντιμετωπίστηκε στις Η.Π.Α., αλλά και παγκοσμίως, ως καινοφανής, ως πρωτόγνωρη και… ετεροχρονισμένη, ανακαλώντας στην μνήμη μας εποχές… Ουϊλσον, τότε ευθέως άγεται στο… συμπαγές και άρα στο ακλόνητο (!) συμπέρασμα ότι ο Αμερικανικός λαός δεν έχει να φοβάται τίποτε για το μέλλον του, διότι έχει πραγματικούς πολιτικούς άνδρες, ικανούς να κρατήσουν ψηλά την αμερικανική σημαία και να χαρίσουν στον λαό τους ευημερία, ουσιαστικό που περικλείει πολλά σημερινά ζητούμενα από όλες τις κοινωνίες και όχι μόνον από την αμερικανική!..
Φυσικά, προς άρσιν τυχόν παρεξηγήσεων, να σημειώσω πως ο Κος Μπάϊντεν υλοποίησε το ένα μόνον κομμάτι της πολιτικής Τραμπ, αυτό της επιστροφής αμερικανικών στρατιωτικών δυνάμεων των ΑΕΔ στις Η.Π.Α., όπου ασφαλώς αυτό επέτρεπε και επιτρέπει η ασφάλεια των Η.Π.Α., ενώ γύρισε και πάλι την χώρα του ή καλύτερα την “ξανάνοιξε” στα παγκόσμια πολιτικά πράγματα, σε αντίθεση με τον Τραμπ, ο οποίος είχε ρίξει το κύριο βάρος του στην ριζική και γενική… ανοικοδόμηση των Η.Π.Α. και στην στήριξη του λαού της αυστηρά, ρίχνοντας το κύριο βάρος του και δείχνοντας την μεγίστη μέριμνα στο συναφές με την “λαϊκή στήριξη” κομμάτι της Οικονομίας, όπου και πέτυχε να ρίξει την ανεργία στο 3% με 4%, αν η πληγωμένη μνήμη μου δεν με απατά, ένα γεγονός ιστορικό!
Ο Κος Μπάϊντεν και ο νουνεχής, όσο και πράγματι ευφυέστατος, Κος Μπλίνκεν δεν έπραξαν, έως τώρα, διαφορετικά από την Κ-Β Τραμπ, σε πολλά θέματα εξωτερικής πολιτικής, όπως ίσως πολλοί θα ανέμεναν, χωρίς να βλάψουν τα συμφέροντα των Η.Π.Α. πουθενά, αφού γνωρίζουν άριστα πως υπάρχουν, πλην του στρατιωτικού, λέγε με ισχύος, και άλλοι τρόποι οι Η.Π.Α. να πολεμήσουν για τα παγκόσμια συμφέροντά τους!
Διαβάστε, παρακάτω, κάποια παραδείγματα.
Και(!) η αμερικανική συμπεριφορά στο ΝΑΤΟ παραμένει… “χαλαρά αυστηρή”, (ορθότατα), προς τους Συμμάχους σ’ αυτό των Η.Π.Α., (αφού και η νυν Α/Κ-Β είδε κάποια πράγματα που και σ’ αυτήν δεν αρέσουν, όπως πχ την μη συνέπεια στην οικονομική συνδρομή των χωρών – μελών, τις διάφορες εντός του πολυποίκιλες κρατικές κυρίως αντιπαλότητες, κλπ, γεγονότα που είχαν και έχουν αρκούντως αποσυντονίσει την απαιτούμενη “κοινή γραμμή” της Συμμαχίας, με αποτέλεσμα, ως παράδειγμα, ο Γάλλος Πρόεδρος να έχει αναφερθεί σε “εγκεφαλικά νεκρό ΝΑΤΟ”, κλπ),
και(!) στην Τυνησία, πρόσφατα, στηρίχτηκε η πολιτική συμπεριφορά του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας, στάση η οποία ευθέως απέβλεπε στην εξουδετέρωση των εκεί… Τζιχαντιστών ή -άντε- “θρησκευτικά… εξτρεμιστών” “Αδελφών Μουσουλμάνων”,
και(!) στην Αίγυπτο στηρίζεται σταθερά ο Στρατάρχης Σίσι απέναντι στους ίδιους “Αδελφούς Μουσουλμάνους”,
και(!) στην Λιβύη οι Η.Π.Α., μόλις “προχθές”, ζήτησαν δια του ΥΠΕΞ τους την αποχώρηση όλων των ξένων στρατευμάτων (κρατικών και ιδιωτικών – μισθοφορικών) από τους εντολείς τους,
και(!) στην Ελλάδα ενισχύεται, έτι περαιτέρω, η νέα αμερικανική παρουσία, άκρως επιβεβλημένη (κάποιοι επιτέλους κατάλαβαν, τί εννοούσαμε όταν γράφαμε, ασφαλώς “καθ’ υπερβολήν”, πως δεν θα ήταν κακό, αλλ’ αντιθέτως, η χρεοκοπημένη και υποθηκευμένη στους “Διεθνείς Εβραίους”, έως το 2115, Ελλάς να αποτελούσε το επόμενο αστέρι στην Α/Σημαία…),
και(!) στην Τουρκία ακολουθείται η ίδια σχεδόν πολιτική με αυτήν των Ρεπουμπλικανών, σίγουρα πιο αυστηρή, αφού ο Μπάϊντεν δεν θέλει να έχει ούτε καν επαφές με Δικτάτορες, κάνοντας λόγο “ανοιχτά” για Δικτάτορα ΡΤΕ* και για επιθυμία του να υπάρξει αλλαγή της πολιτικής καταστάσεως στην χώρα αυτήν, αλλά
και(!) άλλα αρκετά παραδείγματα, που θα μπορούσαν να αναφερθούν, … ισχυροποιούν την θέση μας ότι η νέα Α/Κ-Β Τζο ΜΠΑΪΝΤΕΝ δεν πράττει, μέχρι τώρα, στα της εξωτερικής της πολιτικής, πολύ διαφορετικά από την προηγούμενη, αυτήν του Ντόναλντ ΤΡΑΜΠ!..
* Κε ΡΤΕ!
Με τους Κλίντον και Ομπάμα πράγματι “τα πήγαινες καλά”, όπως είπες στην συνέντευξή σου στον δημοσιογράφο σου Κο Μεχμέτ ΑΤΖΕΤ, στο νέο σας “τουρκικό σπίτι” στην ΝΥ (“Hayrlı Olsun Efendim”) και πάντως μέχρι του Ιουλίου του 2016 και του αποτυχόντος στρατιωτικού “Αμερικανο-FETÖ” Κινήματος, αφού ο αποτυχημένος στο Πεδίο και νεκρός πια σχεδιασμός της περίφημης “Αραβικής Άνοιξης” ξεκίνησε και(!) με σένα ως έναν “τοπικό μεγαλο-πράκτορά” τους, όπως σε κατηγορούσαν ευθέως, (θα το θυμάσαι), και οι σημερινοί χαράκτες της εξωτερικής σου πολιτικής και… άσπονδοι σύμμαχοί σου, ναι, σωστά κατάλαβες, αυτοί της ε/φ “Aydınlık”… , αχαχαχαχαχα, ενώ ο Τραμπ απλώς συνομιλούσε μαζί σου, έχοντας αποδεχθεί το τραγικό Ομπαμικό λάθος του 2016, όπως εσύ του το παρουσίασες στο Τόκυο, σ’ εκείνη την… “G” διεθνή συνάντηση, το 2018, έχοντάς σου βάλλει… “Κολοδάχτυλο” πολλές φορές, όπως πχ με τον Α/Πάστορα που κρατούσες αιχμάλωτο, με το θέμα των F-35 που αυτός στους… αποχαιρέτησε, και κυρίως με το εμπάργκο που σου “έβαλε”, λόγω των Ρ/”S-400″, λίγο πριν “πέσει” ή ορθότερα λίγο πριν τον ανατρέψουν, κατά τις εκλογές, οι “Διεθνείς Εβραίοι”, κλπ, κλπ, κλπ!..
Άρα να μην λες μισές αλήθειες ΡΤΕ, διότι δεν απευθύνεσαι μόνον στην πλέμπα σου!..
Συνεχίζουμε, μετά από τον… Ερντογανικό(sic) αστερίσκο.
Επίσης, φίλοι μου / μας, οι Η.Π.Α. δεν άλλαξαν συμπεριφορά, σε σχέση με εκείνην του Τραμπ, προς την Κίνα, σε ό,τι βεβαίως αφορά και(!) την κατά τους νυν κυβερνώντες τις Η.Π.Α. επαπειλούμενη γεωστρατηγική επέκταση των Κινέζων, η οποία εκτιμάται ότι… έφερε το “AUKUS”**!
Κατ’ εμάς δεν υφίσταται κάτι τέτοιο, ήτοι… έρπουσα Κινεζική θέληση για γεωστρατηγική επέκταση, ούτε καν το επιθυμούν οι Κινέζοι, όπως πιστεύουμε, Κινέζοι οι οποίοι απλώς φοβούνται την Δύση και γι’ αυτό “τρέχουν” να φτιάξουν ΠΝ και γενικώς να εξοπλιστούν (και πυρηνικά), όσο καλύτερα μπορούν! (Κοντά σ’ αυτούς και οι “κολλητοί” τους Β. Κορεάτες, του τρελλού, ματωμένου κόκκινου Δικτάτορα, Κιμ ΓΙΟΥΝΓΚ)!..
** Ένα αντίστοιχο “AUKUS” είχαμε και λίγο πριν από τον Β’ Π.Π., μόνον που αυτό ουσιαστικά υλοποιήθηκε μέσα στον τότε Β’ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο! Σε ό,τι αφορά το “σήμερα”, η Γαλλία αντέδρασε, θα έλεγα με κάποια μη αναμενόμενη νευρικότητα, εννοώ αυτήν που εκδηλώθηκε με τις ανακλήσεις των Πρέσβεών της από τις χώρες της “AUKUS”, τις δηλώσεις του Προέδρου της, κλπ, αφού, όπως εμείς πιστεύουμε, το θέμα είχε να κάνει με την απόφαση των Αυστραλών να αθετήσουν την δισ-ρίων $ συμφωνία τους με τους Γάλλους και να μην αγοράσουν τελικώς απ’ αυτούς πυρηνικά Υ/Β, αλλά από τους αδελφούς τους Βρετανούς!..
Το “AUKUS” δείχνει ξεκάθαρα ότι δεν άλλαξε η νέα, κυρίως μετά το 2013, χαραχθείσα αμερικανική πολιτική στον Ειρηνικό (Κίνα και σύμμαχός της Β. Κορέα), αλλά θα προσέθετα και στον Β. Ατλαντικό (Ρωσία), μια πολιτική που επανακαθόριζε τα αμερικανικά “θέλω” στις περιοχές αυτές, όπως πχ στο Χονγκ Κονγκ, στην Ταϊβάν, στο Θιβέτ, στην Δ. Κίνα, στην Κορεατική χερσόνησο, στις Φιλιππίνες, κλπ, κλπ, κλπ.
Έτσι, είχαμε τον στρατιωτικό εξοπλισμό της Αυστραλίας, την επαναστρατικοποίηση της Ιαπωνίας, 70 σχεδόν χρόνια μετά την Χιροσίμα και το Ναγκασάκι, αλλά και την δημιουργία νέων Α/Βάσεων στην Αυστραλία, όπως και την ενίσχυση των υπαρχόντων Α/Βάσεων στο Ν. Ειρηνικό, την δημιουργία Α/Στόλου “Β. Ατλαντικού”, κλπ, κλπ, κλπ!..
Το πρόβλημα για τις Η.Π.Α., όπως εμείς εκτιμούμε, δεν είναι οι Κινέζοι, αλλά οι Ρώσοι (!), οι οποίοι πράγματι αποτελούν γεωστρατηγική απειλή, όχι μόνον για τους Αμερικανούς, αλλά και(!) για τους Γάλλους (ίσως και λίγο γι’ αυτό να “φώναξε” ο Κος Μακρόν και όχι μόνον για τα Υ/Β… ), αφού οι Ρώσοι έχουν ήδη στοχεύσει και δηλώσει, αν δεν απατώμαι, τις πόλεις της ΝΥ και των Παρισίων, (καταλάβατε), όντες αποφασισμένοι να “κατέβουν” προς “τα κάτω”, ήτοι Νοτίως και ΝΑ, όπως έχουμε εδώ, κατά καιρούς, γράψει και αναλύσει – εξηγήσει!..
Το “AUKUS”, επομένως, λογίζεται από εμάς, ως το λογικό και αναμενόμενο επόμενο βήμα της Δύσης, η οποία ιστορικά εκφράζεται κυρίως από τον Αγγλοσαξωνικό λεγόμενο άξονα, όπως και πάλι στην πράξη απεδείχθη!..

Ακόμα και σε σχέση με το παγκόσμιο Κινεζικό οικονομικό “άνοιγμα”, που άκριτα είχε επιτρέψει η Δύση χωρίς φραγμούς και όρια και που ήλθε ο Τραμπ για να περιορίσει, μπαίνοντας στα χωράφια των “Διεθνών Εβραίων”, κάτι που τελικώς τον “σκότωσε”, ο Κος Μπάϊντεν δεν φαίνεται να αλλάζει κάτι, γενόμενος ίσως, αν θέλετε, πιο διαλεκτικός, αλλά σίγουρα όχι άκριτα δεκτικός στα όποια οικονομικά “θέλω” των Κινέζων στην παγκόσμιο αγορά! (Δείτε πχ το 5 G, κλπ).
Τελικώς, αγαπητοί, “για να μην το κουράζουμε”, οι Η.Π.Α. δεν είχαν κανένα λόγο να μείνουν ειδικά στο Αφγανιστάν, ούτε καν οικονομικό, αφού το πράγματι πλούσιο υπέδαφός του, μπορούν να το διεκδικήσουν και χωρίς το αίμα και τις ζωές των Αμερικανών στρατιωτικών!
Αν κάποιος θελήσει να αναφερθεί στην διεθνή παγκόσμιο τρομοκρατία και στον έναν σημαντικό τους εκτελεστικό… παράγοντα, ήτοι στους Ταλιμπάν, τότε η ανεκτή και λογικά ακριβής απάντηση θα μπορούσε να είναι ότι οι Η.Π.Α. σκότωσαν τον διεθνή επικεφαλής τους Οσάμα Μπιν Λάντεν, τον βασικό υπεύθυνο της τραγωδίας των “Διδύμων Πύργων”, κλπ, ενώ, όντας και στο Αφγανιστάν, οι Η.Π.Α. κατάφεραν και χαρτογράφησαν αναλυτικότατα όλες τις τρομοκρατικές Ομάδες και Οργανώσεις, οι οποίες δρούσαν και δρουν στην Μ. Ανατολή, στον Καύκασο – Κ. Ασία, κλπ, διαμορφώνοντας, παράλληλα, εκ του σύνεγγυς εικόνα για όλους αυτούς τους… Κους και τις… Κες, που επιθυμούν να φέρουν τον Πλανήτη στον Μεσαίωνα ζώντας οι ίδιοι ακόμα σ’ αυτόν, και μάλιστα με βίαιο τρόπο, ο οποίος -αν είναι ποτέ δυνατόν(!)- εδράζεται απ’ αυτούς σε θρησκευτική βάση και έχει στις περισσότερες των περιπτώσεων θρησκευτικό μανδύα!..
Πιστεύουμε ότι η πολιτική Μπάϊντεν διαφέρει, ως προς εκείνη του Τραμπ, (και εκεί όχι και πάρα πολύ), στο θέμα του Ισραήλ και του λεγόμενου “Παλαιστινιακού” ή “Μεσανατολικού”, καθώς και στο θέμα της πυρηνικής συμφωνίας των “5+1” χωρών με το Ιράν και στην επάνοδο, στο προσκήνιο, του… 2015!..
Στο θέμα “Ιράν”, ίσως(!) τώρα, μετά από την “είσοδο” στο Αφγανιστάν του Ιράν, όπως και κυρίως στην Ντέρα της Β. Συρίας, μια Β. Συρία η οποία ευθέως απειλείται τώρα από ένα αιφνιδιαστικό “σπάσιμο” της κείμενης εκεχειρίας από την Ρωσία στην περιοχή του Ιντλίμπ, οι Η.Π.Α. να αλλάξουν στάση προς το αενάως τρομοκρατικό Ιράν!
Σε ό,τι αφορά στο Ισραήλ και στην συνεχώς ευθέως απειλούμενη όσο και επίπλαστη ασφάλειά του, σε ό,τι αφορά ευρύτερα αυτό που αποκαλείται, δεκαετίες τώρα, ίσως κακώς, “Παλαιστινιακό”, όπως έχουμε γράψει και εξηγήσει εδώ, δεν θα υπάρξει ποτέ στο μέλλον πια, πρόταση λύσεως καλυτέρα εκείνης του Τραμπ, πρόταση που την προώθησε κυρίως με επικεφαλής τον γαμπρό του και ανοήτως δεν απεδέχθησαν οι Παλαιστίνιοι, οι οποίοι έχουμε γράψει τί ακριβώς θέλουν, ήτοι τον αφανισμό του Ισραήλ και του λαού του!
Αν και η νυν Α/Κ-Β φέρεται (!) να κάνει λόγο / να μιλάει τώρα για “Two States Solution”, εμείς πιστεύουμε ότι το Α/ΥΠΕΞ και ο Κος Μπλίνκεν δεν είναι ακόμα έτοιμοι στο θέμα ή για το θέμα, σε ό,τι αφορά την αμερικανική θέση (θέση τους), για την επίλυση του προβλήματος!..

Σε γενικές γραμμές, οι πολιτικές στο εξωτερικό Πεδίο των Τραμπ – Μπάϊντεν, δεν μοιάζουν να διαφέρουν πολύ, πλην του θέματος ΙΣΡΑΗΛ – “ΜΕΣΑΝΑΤΟΛΙΚΟ” – ΙΡΑΝ !..
Να πούμε ακόμα ότι οι Η.Π.Α. έπραξαν ό,τι μπορούσαν για να εκκενώσουν το Αφγανιστάν έχοντας μάλιστα και δικά τους θύματα! Πρέπει όλοι όμως να καταλάβουν στην… Γη, πως, αυτά που είδαμε να γίνονται στην Καμπούλ, δυστυχώς συμβαίνουν, όταν έχεις να κάνεις με τρομοκράτες και σε κάθε περίπτωση όταν έχεις να αντιμετωπίσεις οπλισμένες και αποφασισμένες Ομάδες τρομοκρατών!
Η εικόνα του Α/Προέδρου σχεδόν να κλαίει, για τις άδικα χαμένες ανθρώπινες ζωές πρόσφατα στην Καμπούλ, ήταν και είναι χαρακτηριστική της ανθρώπινης όψεως της απάνθρωπης, πολλές φορές, ασκούμενης… πολιτικής!.. Και ο Α/Πρόεδρος ήταν αληθινός στην αντίδρασή του!..
Καταληκτικά, η μετριοπάθεια, η έλλογη σκέψη, το μη γκρέμισμα όσων άλλοι προηγουμένως είχαν οικοδομήσει, η ευελιξία, και η σοφή προσπάθεια αναζήτησης της “μέση λύσης” (ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ, ΟΧΙ ΤΗΣ… ΣΟΛΟΜΩΝΤΙΑΣ), όπως και ο διάλογος, όχι όμως για τον διάλογο (βλέπε πχ την σταθερή στάση του Α/Προέδρου προς τον ΡΤΕ), είναι τα κύρια χαρακτηριστικά της “σημερινής” α/εξωτερικής πολιτικής, η οποία μοιάζει να έχει όραμα και να στοχεύει στο ορατό και άμεσο μέλλον, το οποίο φαίνεται πως διαρκώς… ιχνηλατεί, όπως το “AUKUS” απέδειξε, μια συμφωνία η οποία ευθέως θα επηρεάσει και σίγουρα θα αναπροσαρμόσει ή και θα αλλάξει ακόμα τις πολιτικές ή καλύτερα τις στρατηγικές πολλών χωρών χαμηλότερου ασφαλώς βεληνεκούς και εύρους, αυτών των Η.Π.Α. και της Μ. Βρετανίας, της οποίας τον σημαίνοντα ρόλο και την στάση, ελπίζουμε να εξετάσουμε σε επόμενη παρέμβαση μας! (Ως μέλος του “AUKUS” φυσικά)!..
Να πούμε πως, αν θα θέλαμε να δούμε το θέμα συνωμοσιολογικά, θα γράφαμε πως όλα τα παραπάνω εκτεθέντα είναι απόφαση της “Παγκοσμίου Διεθνούς Κ-Β” ή πως πχ η αμερικανική στάση προς την Κίνα εκκινεί από την εκδίκηση που θέλει να πάρει ο Α/Πρόεδρος από τους Κινέζους, οι οποίοι δημοσιοποίησαν όργιο με ναρκωτικά του γιού του, πριν από τις α/εκλογές, κτυπώντας τον Τζο ΜΠΑΪΝΤΕΝ κάτω από την μέση, και άλλα πολλά, ενώ σημειώνουμε, εκτός… συνωμοσιολογίας, πως και(!) οι “Διεθνείς Εβραίοι” πήραν τα χαμένα, επί Τραμπ, λεφτά τους πίσω διπλά και τριπλά, αλλά και(!) οι Κινέζοι το ίδιο, ενώ παράλληλα οι… Σίνες “ανοίχτηκαν” και πάλι, χωρίς φοβίες, στην παγκόσμιο αγορά!..

Αφήστε το Αφγανιστάν, την δήθεν αναβάθμιση της Τουρκίας, λόγω των γεγονότων εκεί, κλπ, (άραγε κανείς σας δεν είδε το… κλάσιμο, με το συμπάθιο, των Ταλιμπάν, προς τους Τούρκους και το “άνοιγμά” τους κυρίως προς τους Κινέζους;), αφήστε τα παχιά μεγαλοακούσματα για την Κίνα και εστιαστείτε στην περιοχή της Α. Μεσογείου (Κύπρος), στο Αιγαίο, στην Θράκη και στα νότια Βαλκάνια, (όπως βεβαίως και στην Μ. Official country visit of the Chair of the NATO Military Committee to Greece
Admiral Rob Bauer, Chair of the NATO Military Committee, and General Konstantinos Floros, Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, salute the Hellenic Military Honour Guard
After a brief welcome ceremony, the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Bauer sat down with General Floros, the Greek Chief of Defence. They reviewed the agenda for the upcoming NATO Military Committee Conference held this weekend in Athens. “I am grateful for Greece for hosting the 30 NATO Chiefs of Defence this weekend, this is yet another demonstration of Greece’s continued and enduring commitment to our Alliance”, he acknowledged. The two officials also discussed Greece’s ongoing operational commitments to NATO missions and activities. “Greece is currently providing personnel to our missions in Kosovo and Iraq as well as to Operation Sea Guardian and our Standing Naval Forces. NATO Nations have been facing the biggest security challenges in a generation from the East and from the South, and together they are responding”, added Admiral Bauer.
His meeting with Minister of Defence, Mr Nikos Panagiotopoulos centred on the recent devastating wildfires and the role of Armed Forces in disaster response. “The wildfires were an ecological catastrophe. I commend the citizens of Greece and the Hellenic Armed forces who came together and fought to stem the wildfires. In the face of adversity, they showed great determination and resilience”, stressed Admiral Bauer. The Chair also discussed with the Minister on Greece the various strategic security challenges that are facing the Alliance.
Admiral Bauer then travelled to the Island of Crete to visit the Souda Naval Base, which provides strategic support to US, allied, and coalition forces operating, deployed or transiting through the eastern Mediterranean. He also toured the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre (NMIOTC), which helps train allied military experts in the latest maritime interdiction techniques. The programme continued with visits of the Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) Centre of Excellence, and the NATO Missile Firing Installation (NAMFI). “Greece is helping our Alliance strengthen its maritime posture, its air defences and the training to our forces. This exemplifies our need to not only work together but to work together smarter. This makes our collective defence more efficient”, concluded Admiral Bauer.
Greece is hosting the 2021 edition of the NATO Military Committee Conference in Athens from 17 to 19 September.

Thirty Allied Chiefs of Defence discuss the changing character of warfare
Discussions focused on NATO-led operations, missions and activities and the threats and challenges facing NATO. The Chiefs of Defence exchanged views on the military input to the Alliance’s lessons learnt process that will evaluate the Alliance’s engagement in Afghanistan.
The Military Committee received briefings from NATO’s Strategic Commanders, General Tod Wolters, Supreme Allied Headquarters Commander Europe (SACEUR) and General André Lanata, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) on the concept of Deterrence and Defence of the Euro-Atlantic area and NATO’s Warfighting Capstone Concept.
The Chief of Defence discussed enduring threats and peacetime challenges. They stressed how the geopolitical environment was changing and the line between peace and crisis was increasingly blurred. The Military Committee then deliberated the changing character of warfare and how the Alliance needs to maintain pace with the speed of technological change.
The NATO 2030 agenda was the focus of the next session as the Chiefs of Defence discussed its implications and opportunities for the NATO Military Authorities. Discussions then turned to how the Chiefs of Defence would provide their military advice into the next NATO Strategic Concept.
The final meeting of the day saw the Chiefs of Defence nominate Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak as the next Director General of the International Military Staff. Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak from Poland will take office in the summer of 2022.

The Iran Nuclear Deal – and the Lessons of Munich
Reflections on the price of appeasing evil.
The Biden administration, along with our western allies Britain, France, and Germany, are handling the Iran nuclear deal in an appeasement mode that reminds me a bit of Britain’s Neville Chamberlains dealings with Hitler’s Nazi Germany. Eager to have a deal, Chamberlain sold out to Czechoslovakia, and ultimately the free world in his 1938 Munich deal. Let us hope that the Biden administration is not seeking a paper deal rather than a genuine lasting and effective nuclear deal that would protect America and its allies.
Frankly, whatever paper agreement would be signed eventually in Vienna or elsewhere, it will not stand. The Iranians have proven time and again that they will cheat, and deceive the western powers, who are more than willing to be deceived for the sake of “non-escalation” politics with Iran. In the end, the US and its western allies might end up selling out the security of its allies, particularly Israel and Saudi Arabia in a Czechoslovakia-like deal.
Iran has already escalated matters by upgrading the centrifuges far beyond the level allowed by the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). They are developing ballistic missiles that are aimed at reaching Europe and ultimately the US. They already possess missiles that might be able to hit Israel and Saudi Arabia. Frankly, they have positioned a huge arsenal of rockets in Lebanon, at the disposal of Hezbollah, to be used by the Hezbollah terrorist group when Tehran gives the green light. Similarly, the Ayatollahs have provided the Yemeni (Shiite) Houtis with enough missiles to paralyze the Saudi oil production and more…
The terror and instability Iran is causing in the region is not an issue the cowed western representatives in Vienna much care to bring up. They want to get along with the radical Iranian regime, and are fearful that the Iranians might bolt and walk away. The Iranians, sensing the weakness of the western representatives, and their eagerness to reach a deal at all costs, have hardened their bargaining position. They know that it is the US, and its western allies who will ultimately give in.
The Biden administration already handed down a victory to Iran’s Ayatollahs in the form of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. The US administrations admission to its total exhaustion with wars in the Middle East, and its intent to leave the region altogether will grant Iran the ultimate prize: expelling the US from the region. In fact, that is the dream of every jihadist and the Iranian mullahs in particular.
The New York Times reported (September 12, 2021) that, “In the last minute deal before Iran was likely to be censured for violating its agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the new government in Tehran agreed to let the organization (IAEA) reset monitoring devices that help measure the progress of the country’s nuclear program.” The deal between the IAEA director general, Rafael Grossi, and Iran’s chief of the Atomic Energy organization, Mohammad Eslami, is that the content of the storage cards kept under seal, will be released to the IAEA only when and if Iran and the US agree on the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal or the JCPOA.
In the Vienna talks there are no face-to-face dealings between the Iranians and the US delegates. European’s shuttle between the Iranian and US negotiators led by special envoy Robert Malley, who sits in a separate Vienna location. The negotiations have been suspended since June. Iran has refused to provide explanations for the presence of traces of radioactive material at several Iranian sites, or the whereabouts of the materials now. The US and its western allies have threatened to censure Iran for noncompliance. The new hard-line Iranian government led by the President Ebrahim Raisi, (also known as the hangman of thousands of Iranians) responded with a counter-threat to abandon the nuclear talks in Vienna altogether if the censure resolution passed. Clearly, the US and the European allies have backed down.
In April, 2021, Iran further escalated its violation of the terms of the JCPOA agreement, by announcing that it began enriching uranium to 60 percent, far beyond the original limit of 3.67 percent allowed under the JCPOA, and closer to the level required to fuel a nuclear bomb. The excuse the Iranians gave for the interruption of the nuclear talks was an alleged Israeli attack on its Natanz nuclear facility.
The July, 2015 nuclear deal restricted the amount of nuclear fuel Iran can keep, and sought to reduce the stockpile of low enriched uranium by 98%. In addition, the agreement called for a two-third reduction of Iran’s centrifuges. All of these measures were supposed to extend Iran’s breakout time to one year, for a single atomic bomb. It seems however, that former President Obama himself, in an interview with National Public Radio (April, 2015), admitted that in the years 13, 14, and 15 of the agreement, the breakout time might shrink “to almost zero.”
Former President Donald J. Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, because Iran prohibited IAEA inspectors from accessing any military sites within Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) controls all of Iran’s military sites and over 75% of its economy. The IRGC has been designated by the US as a terrorist organization. The IRGC moreover, had been secretly working on nuclear weapons technology for decades, and have continued to do so even after the JCPOA was signed.
The Iranian theocratic regime continues to construct and test ballistic missiles in open defiance of the JCPOA agreement and of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231. The Iranians had engaged in it before the ink was dry on the 2015 nuclear deal. The Iranian mullahs have also been smuggling in key parts for ballistic missile construction projects, and for the development of nuclear weapons. Iran is seeking to have missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
Reuters reported (June 11, 2020) that, “Cruise missiles used in several attacks on oil facilities and an international airport in Saudi Arabia the previous year, were of Iranian origin,” UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres told the Security Council. This was in clear contravention of the 2015 Security Council Resolution 2231.
The Europeans are adept at appeasement, and avoidance of facing reality. They have been appeasing Iran all along and in particular, following President Trump’s withdrawal from the JCPOA. The British, French, and Germans sought to develop a mechanism to facilitate Iranian marketing of its oil, and trade in general. It was done to counter the US “Maximum Pressure” on Iran. Let us hope that President Biden does not get trapped in the pitfall of appeasement. History has shown us the price of appeasing evil.
5. Why Freedom is in Serious Jeopardy
Disunity and the acceptance of authoritarianism.
There are many ways in which to divide humanity — the decent and the indecent, the happy and the unhappy, the cowardly and the courageous, those who lead and those who follow, etc.
Two major divisions that are less often noted but highly consequential are between those who want to control others and those who have little interest in controlling others, and between the related categories of those who are comfortable with being controlled by others and those who detest being controlled by others.
Those who seek to control others and those who seek to be controlled by others would seem to be on opposite ends of the political spectrum. But they are not. Both groups are overwhelmingly populated by individuals on the Left.
They currently dominate four of the five English-speaking countries (the United Kingdom may be the one exception). The ease with which Australians, Canadians and New Zealanders have accepted the loss of liberty in their respective countries has been the saddest and most frightening development since the rise of totalitarianism in the early 20th century.
Even sadder and more frightening has been the acceptance of authoritarianism by half of the American people. America has been the beacon of liberty in the world. America was the country to which France gave the Statue of Liberty. America has been, as President Abraham Lincoln characterized it, “the last best hope of Earth.” America’s self-image has been that of a “sweet land of liberty” and of “the land of the free and home of the brave.”
Then came a new virus (one with a survival rate in the 99% range for nearly all age groups except older adults who are also very sick), and suddenly, in the name of “public health,” no amount of suppression of liberty, no matter how irrational, has been resisted by the majority of Americans or almost any citizens of the other English-speaking countries.
The citizens of Australia’s biggest states are not allowed to leave their homes for more than a few hours a day, not allowed to congregate with other citizens even outdoors, not allowed even to speak with one another outdoors. For more than a year and a half, Australians have not been allowed to leave their country without the express permission of their government, which will decide whether they have a good enough reason. And, of course, church services are forbidden. Australians, Canadians and New Zealanders, most of whom are thoroughly secular, have only contempt for their compatriots who wish to attend religious services.
In many arenas of life, most Australians have fewer rights than most Soviet citizens did. Like Australians, Soviet citizens could not leave their country without permission, but they were allowed to leave their homes, to speak with people in the street and to visit dying relatives in hospitals.
Meanwhile, a large percentage of Americans support a president of the United States who offers government and an enormous number of private-entity workers a choice between getting vaccinated — no matter how young they are, and whether they already had COVID-19 — or losing their job. In other words, many Americans support firing any unvaccinated fellow citizens who work for the government, the medical professions or privately owned companies with 100 or more employees.
Half of America supports a president who portrays the other half of America as an enemy, their fellow Americans as people for whom they should have hatred. No American president has ever given as divisive a speech as the one in which President Joe Biden announced his vaccine mandates (something he denied wanting to impose only nine months ago, in December of 2020). Lincoln, despite the Civil War, a war in which more Americans were killed than in all other American wars combined, called on Americans to have “malice toward none.” Biden, as mean-spirited a president as this country has ever had, has called for malice toward 100 million Americans, declaring, “our patience is wearing thin.”
There is a three-pronged left-wing assault on liberty: in the name of public health (COVID-19); in the name of “anti-racism”; and in the name of saving the planet (climate change). By ratcheting up fear and hysteria, the Left is using each to end individual liberty, including freedom of speech, for the first time in American history.
Will the Left succeed?
Unless Americans fight the Left as hard as the Union fought the slave states, the answer is yes.

General Milley and the ‘Perfumed Princes’ of the Pentagon
Endangering our military preparedness and national security.

General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the military’s highest-ranking officer, according to Bob Woodward and Robert Costa’s new book took actions in the waning days of the Trump administration that are plausible predicates for charges of treason. This blatant violation of his oath to uphold the Constitution and its subordination of the military to the civilian government accountable to the people, must be further investigated and if substantiated, appropriately punished. But the institutional dysfunctions of the modern military establishment transcend any one man.
On the preposterous pretext that President Trump is mentally unstable enough to attack China or provoke a nuclear war before leaving office, Milley allegedly overstepped his Constitutional authority and violated the chain of command by going behind Trump’s back to speak with a foreign power. As a National Review editorial reported, Milley “went to the head of the Chinese military to tell him, in effect, that Trump was bluffing. He reportedly ordered naval exercises canceled to avoid offending the Chinese. He even ‘went so far as to pledge he would alert his counterpart in the event of a U.S. attack . . . “General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.’”
This blatant politicizing of his office bespeaks personal careerism and an inflated ego, as well as the insular culture of our bureaucratized military establishment, all of which compromises our national security.
These dysfunctions of military leadership were memorably expressed by Army Colonel David Hackworth in his phrase “perfumed princes,” the Pentagon’s top brass more concerned with politics and their own career advancement than with their duty to the troops and national security. In part such criticism of generals has been a perennial feature of militaries. In World War I it was expressed by the famous description of the allied soldiers as “lions lead by donkeys.” Constitutional governments traditionally distrust officers and generals, given their military skills and control over armies and weapons, which make them a risk for engineering coups. That’s why the Founders made the president, whether a veteran or not, the commander-in-chief, and feared standing armies.
But the rise of technocratic progressivism, which multiplied and enlarged government agencies and the power of the executive that controls them––including what once was called the War Department, but now is known as the Department of Defense––further politicized our military. This name-change reveals one development that has altered our perceptions of the use of force: the idealistic foreign policy of the “rules-based international order” that privileges multilateralism, “soft power,” international institutions, and “diplomatic engagement” over the unilateral use of force.
This foreign policy orthodoxy, necessarily political, now dominates our top-tier military leadership. Those officers who wish to rise in the hierarchy must show obeisance to this questionable foreign-policy philosophy. This allegiance explains much of the resistance to Trump and the undermining of his foreign policy decisions on the part of some of his military advisors and cabinet appointees.
Another problem arises from the “professional deformation” that compromises large-scale government bureaucracies not directly accountable to the people or the market. Group-think, institutional received wisdom, and outdated paradigms can persist decade after decade, and survive failure after failure. Protecting and advancing the agency and its managers takes precedence over the functions the agency is supposed to perform––defend the nation and its national interests.
Moreover, advancement in the bureaucracy demands fealty to institutional orthodoxy, and thus marginalizes mavericks and innovators in favor of company men ready to salute whatever political flag is run up the flagpole. Just ask Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who challenged the Obama administration’s dangerous misreading of ISIS as a “jayvee team,” and faced a ginned-up FBI investigation and preposterous charges for his trouble.
This malign political dynamic is obvious in Milley’s previous forays into political waters. The idea that Trump was psychologically unstable, a Democrat talking-point since before the election, was nothing more than a stale, partisan trope for delegitimizing and weakening a hated political rival. The alleged January 6 “armed insurrection,” which supposedly so frightened Milley that he had to forewarn the Chinese about Trump’s mental state, is another partisan lie. Milley’s conversations with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi about his boss Trump’s mental fitness––he and Pelosi agreed he was “crazy”–– were also nakedly political, inappropriate, and a betrayal of his office.
Indeed, as Marc Thiessen points out, Milley’s “principled” violations of the civilian chain of command were politically selective: “Well, if Milley wants credit for stopping Trump from causing an imagined military disaster, then he also gets the blame for not stopping President Biden from causing an actual military disaster. Where was this bold, brazen general — willing to bend the chain of command in the name of national security — when Biden oversaw the worst U.S. military catastrophe in modern times in Afghanistan?”
So too with his prior defense of subjecting our service academy students to patent racialist nonsense like “critical race theory,” “systemic racism,” and the biggest political lie of all, the looming dangers of “white supremacism” and “domestic terrorism,” allegedly our most dangerous threat. No empirical evidence backs up claims that “white supremacism” is anything more than a fringe belief. Its presence on the internet and in Congress, and its influence on the larger culture are miniscule compared to the clout and mayhem wielded by Black Lives Matter or Antifa. And in any case, these issues are the business of voters and their representatives, not the chief military advisor to the president.
This political corruption of our top brass, this besmirching of their professional integrity by intruding into partisan politics, increased during the Trump years. In November 2017, racist slurs were written on message boards on the doors of five black cadet candidates at the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School. Superintendent Lt. Gen. Jay B. Silveira, not waiting for an investigation to be completed, gave a virtue-signaling speech that he told the audience to record on their phones. In it he ordered the unknown racists to “get out of” the Academy––thus begging the question that there actually were racists among the cadets. Eager to more widely disseminate this PR stunt, the school posted the video on YouTube, where it was watched by almost 1.2 million viewers. Joe Biden and, naturally, John McCain joined in to praise Silveira and burnish their own antiracist bona fides.
As happens more and more frequently these days, it turned out that one of the “victims” had written the heinous slurs. Rather than apologize for his precipitate grandstanding, Silveira defended his speech as still necessary given the alleged pervasiveness of white racism. He seemed oblivious to the fact that such hoaxes actually demonstrate how discredited such racist acts have become over the last half-century, which accounts for the need to invent them and stoke the identity-politics grievance fires.
Truth apparently wasn’t important. What counted is that Silveira’s antiracist demonstration supported the “systemic racism” lie peddled by Black Lives Matter and the Dems, which suited the Air Force just fine. Indeed, on Silveira’s retirement three years later, the Air Force Times didn’t even mention that his showy “fight against racism,” as the headline read, was based on a hoax.
Then there was Gen. George W. Casey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs in 2009 when Army psychiatrist Nidal Hassan murdered 13 people at Fort Hood while screaming “Allahu Akbar!” The Obama administration tried to pass the attack off as “workplace violence,” and Casey, loyal to his political masters, said that “as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.” So “diversity,” a political verbal weapon that can’t even be coherently defined, or its boons empirically supported, is more precious than the lives of 13 of his troops.
This “nothing to do with Islam” trope and distortion of Islam’s doctrines and history, is an artifact of the “diversity” industry and grievance politics. It goes back to the Clinton administration, when Secretary of State Madeleine Albright praised Islam as a “faith that honors consultation, cherishes peace, and has as one of its fundamental principles the inherent equality of all who embrace it.” Albright didn’t mention what happens to those who don’t “embrace it.”
And don’t forget the Pentagon’s other politically correct policies, such as our Navy’s use of more expensive and less reliable “renewable” fuels in order to gratify one of the progressives’ most useful “crises,” Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming––65% of the energy used on naval bases, and 35% of at-sea fuels come from “renewable” energy, including nuclear. Or how about the eagerness to put women in combat displayed by some top generals a few years back. I’ve never heard an argument explaining how women in combat units improves their performance or helps create the small-unit cohesion critical for success in combat. The whole idea was a political stunt to curry favor with identity-politics activists and progressive legislators.
Of course, there are many fine officers who are serving their country faithfully and professionally. But the cult of “diversity” and “woke” policy––which has corrupted education and has now penetrated some of the top brass of the military services––is a political distraction from the defense establishment’s sole purpose: to train soldiers, sailors, and airmen to confront the enemy and destroy him.
Along with stagnant military budgets and wasteful spending, this ideological and political corruption endangers our military preparedness and so our national security––at a time when China has been working relentlessly to replace us as the world’s foremost power.
