Independence Day and the ‘Woke’ Revolution

Not since the Civil War has Independence Day been celebrated amidst such threats to our country’s political heritage.

Not since the Civil War has Independence Day been celebrated amidst such threats to our country’s political heritage. The riots and bombings of the Sixties and Seventies were more lethal and destructive, but the political consensus from the center-left to the center-right––that the democratic process rather than violence should be the agent of change––hence rejected the revolutionary narrative of the New Left.

Today, however, the recent shift of the Democrats to their progressives and Marxist wing has put the authority and power of Congressmen, Democrat Party leaders, governors, mayors, city councils, media, corporations, sports teams, and entertainment industries on the side of rioters, vandals, and looters. The outfits behind this disorder, whether the self-proclaimed Marxists of Black Lives Matter, or the juvenile anarchists of Antifa, have with near impunity added widespread violence to illiberal tactics like “cancel culture”: the vandalism of public monuments and proscription of cultural artifacts; and the shaming, silencing, and ostracizing of dissenting voices.

The alleged “crisis” of racist police targeting black males for slaughter is in fact a specious pretext for this disorder, a Reichstag Fire for justifying a revolutionary political agenda to “burn down this system and replace it,” as a BLM honcho put it recently. This legitimizing of an illiberal political ideology and violent tactics by civic, business, and cultural leaders now threatens to dismantle the Constitutional order and American civic identity of which American exceptionalism and political freedom are the fruit.

The heart of that exceptionalism is the Founders’ success in binding a broad diversity of peoples into a unity that would avoid the dangers of blood-and-soil nationalism and its tendency to concentrate power at the expense of other citizens and nations. That diversity of Colonial America was not today’s superficial “diversity” comprising the old crude categories of “scientific racism”: black, white, “Hispanic,” and “Asian,” along with other privileged identities based on sexual preferences and sex. In practice these terms are nearly meaningless given the vast differences within those categories, the various cultures, religions, mores, and landscapes that contribute to the complex identities of unique individuals who happen to belong to one of those groups.

The diversity of early America, on the other hand, was real diversity. It was obvious in the conflicted decades before the Revolution, in the turbulent decade between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitutional Convention, and in the coalescing of formal political parties during Washington’s second term. The containment of these divisions, or “factions” as they were called, was a critical goal in creating our form of government: divided powers that check and balance each other in order to protect political freedom from centralization, consolidation, and expansion of the new federal government and its power; and federalism, in which the states are not departments or provinces wholly subordinate to the unitary central government, but sovereign, with considerable freedom to honor their distinct identities and pursue their particular interests.

The purpose of this structure was to give all citizens and factions equal rights and the freedom to participate in governing, and to honor their diverse ways of life and opinions. This structure, of course, was existentially challenged by the Civil War. But after four years of gruesome slaughter the Union’s integrity–– and its assumptions of unalienable rights beyond the power of mere men to abandon or limit for some peoples––were confirmed in what Lincoln at Gettysburg called a “new birth of freedom.” For the individual plures to survive the ambitions of European powers, there had to be a consensus on the collective unum, a consensus articulated in the Declaration of Independence and codified in the Constitution.

That unity has historically manifested itself in times of crises, especially war. At least until Vietnam and the post-9/11 wars, we might debate or criticize the origins or conduct of the war, but there still remained enough of a consensus that politics “ends at the water’s edge.” The other collective celebration of the unum is Independence Day, a time when we together acknowledge not just our nation’s birth, but its revolutionary foundational principles: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” Governments, moreover, are created to “secure these rights,” not to bestow or create them, and “derive their just powers from the consent of the governed”­­–– a creed worthy of the patriotic loyalty and affection we traditionally celebrate on July 4.

Those principles, and the government it created, are the heart of American exceptionalism and its goodness. Over the years Americans have failed or betrayed those principles, but that is reflection of an unchanging flawed human nature constant over space and time. The Founders in the main were realists about human nature and its “passions and interests,” particularly the lust for power. They did not set out to create a utopia or a “new man,” but to craft a structure that allows flawed humans to be free from tyranny, and to correct abuses or end institutions like slavery and legal segregation that violated those foundational principles.

Today’s categories of “diversity,” and the political aims its adherents seek, are much different. First, the real agenda of Diversity, Inc. and it subsidiary “multiculturalism,” is not to give equal public space, recognition, and respect to all the multifarious examples of diversity. Instead, its purpose is to mask a conformist, uniform collectivist ideology inimical both to the Constitutional order and to the most important diversity––of thought, opinion, ideas, and principles, which now must be subject to tests for political purity. It follows, then, that for the “woke” left there is no “unalienable right” to free speech that flunks that test, and repressing such incorrect speech is not just acceptable, but mandatory.

Notice that the denial of free speech to political rivals challenges the very idea of “unalienable rights” bestowed by a “Creator.” This notion has been a target of progressives for over a century. In their view enlightened people can create, modify, or discard rights at will. This is just one front of the long leftist assault on the foundations of the Constitution in order to clear space for “social justice,” a vague idea that in practice requires state-enforced radical egalitarianism, the equality of result rather than the equality of opportunity––an idea that has for over a century failed miserably and created mountains of corpses.

In reality, then, the “woke” revolution is creating a world in which some people are more equal than others: Some lives “matter” more than other lives, some speech is freer than other speech, some people enjoy more equality before the law than others do. The goal is to dismantle the whole architecture of American political freedom and its foundational principles. That’s why we are witnessing the destruction, removal, or besmirching of civic monuments; and the demands to shove down the “memory hole” America’s historical figures who do not measure up to the utopian standards and expectations of today’s arrogant people who do not have greater wisdom, morality, or understanding than our ancestors, but just “happen to be walking about,” as Chesterton put it, and so feel entitled to judge the past.

This revisionism is nothing new, for it is key to the leftist challenge now in its second century. What is making it more dangerous today is the widespread participation of civic and government officials who are either joining in this assault and legitimizing the ideological cleansing of our history; or standing down in fear of the mob lest they be targeted too. The immediate goal is to make sure Donald Trump does not get reelected, for he has resisted and dismantled the previous administration’s efforts to “fundamentally transform” the United States into a technocracy managed by an elite that knows better than we the people how we should manage our lives, and what we should think, believe, and publicly say.

If that transformation should happen in November, we will be on the dangerous “road to serfdom,” the dystopia of political violence, thought-control, “soft despotism” managed by the technocratic elite, more surrender of our sovereignty to globalist institutions, and more redistributionist policies that will lead to fiscal ruin. In other words, our political freedom and self-rule will be reduced to hedonistic consumption overseen by a consortium of Nurse Ratcheds.

So this Independence Day let’s celebrate our freedom, proclaim our pride in the greatest force for good in human history, and vow to defend our nation against all enemies foreign and domestic.

What Will a Trump Re-Election Mean For the Middle East?

The region’s future hinges on what happens in November.

 

With the Middle East awaiting the U.S. elections, there is no significant military or political movement in the region. The Arab world, much like the rest of the world, is preoccupied with the coronavirus crisis, and its severe impact on the local economies in the region. The Arab world, divided into royalist, presidential, and parliamentary systems, none of them democratic, all having conflicting interests, are now in the same boat because of the coronavirus crisis. In Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and the Arab Gulf states, the current focus is on internal issues, specifically health measures that would prevent the spread of coronavirus infections and the economic impact it has caused. As far as external issues are concerned, there is a conundrum. Who will be the next U.S. president? Many external decisions will await the results of the U.S. presidential elections, and the direction of the next American president.

Iran is not an Arab country, but it too is enmeshed in recovering from the economic damage caused by the coronavirus, and the impact of the U.S. sanctions on its failing economy. The regime is burdened by the lack of credibility and trustworthiness. The ayatollahs poor handling of the coronavirus crisis, coupled with the downing of the Ukrainian jetliner by the Iranian military in January, 2020, at the loss of 176 lives, exposed the regimes incompetence. Then they lied about it. The Islamic Republic of Iran is hoping for a Democrat party victory in the November, 2020 U.S. elections, and the defeat of Donald Trump in particular. They are expecting that Joe Biden as President will end the sanctions and rejoin the 5+1 nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iraq is now more stable, following six months of failed attempts to form a government. The new Prime Minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, a former head of Intelligence, is not an Iranian puppet. He is committed to lead Iraq out of its economic crisis, due in part to the collapse of the price of oil, Iraq’s primary export. Iraq has also endured a health crisis brought about by the coronavirus, and a resurgent Islamic State terrorism (IS). The appointment of al-Kadhimi as prime minister, and the strengthened position of the Kurdish President of Iraq, Barham Salih, (this reporter interviewed Barham Salih in 1993), both of them reformers, has dealt a blow to the pro-Iranian groups in Iraq. The election of al-Kadhimi was welcomed by Washington.

While the election of al-Kadhimi is a positive strategic development for both Baghdad and Washington, the resurfacing of the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria is a major concern. The Islamic State is once again displaying its familiar cruelties. The Sunni-Muslim tribes in western and central Iraq that oppose the IS are its major victims. IS took advantage of Iraq’s military preoccupation with the coronavirus, which created a vacuum that enabled the previously defeated Caliphate to rise again, not as a political entity, but as a guerrilla-terrorist group. Disaffected Iraqi Sunnis, including former Saddam Hussein loyalists, are among those who have joined the IS terrorists. The Iraqi Shiite-Muslim militias have been leaderless since the U.S. Special Forces eliminated Iran’s Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, commander of the Iraqi-Shiite Popular Mobilization Committee.

Islamic State terrorists are operating in southeastern Syria as well as in northern and central Sinai Peninsula. The Egyptian army has been unable to dislodge them from Sinai. Another affiliate of Islamic State is active in the southern Golan Heights near the triangle where the borders of Israel, Jordan, and Syria converge. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fears that should the Iraqi security forces fail to deal effectively with IS, the jihadist group might enter Jordan as well, and that might require Israeli intervention. The resurfacing of IS has tamed the demands of Iraqi Shiite politicians and their militias to oust the 5,200 U.S. troops in Iraq, following the killing of Suleimani and al-Muhandis.  The U.S. troops main missions in Iraq are counterterrorism and the training of Iraqi forces.

According to the New York Times (June 10, 2020), “The Trump administration, which sees the American presence (in Iraq) as crucial for tamping down the resurgence of IS, and as a bulwark against Iranian power in Iraq, wants to keep a substantial force there.” The U.S. is likewise interested in reducing the economic dependency between Baghdad and Tehran, primarily Iraq’s current need for Iranian energy. The U.S. wants to help Iraq become self-sufficient in energy production. The Iraqis, on their part, want guarantees that the U.S. will not initiate a conflict with Iran on Iraqi soil. The latter constitutes a key issue in the negotiations between the U.S. and Iraq over the future presence of U.S. troops in Iraq.

In Syria, all the parties partaking in the conflict are stuck in their positions. The Assad regime, Russians, Iranians, and the Turks, have not achieved their ultimate goal. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Front (SDF), working with U.S. forces, has actually made some headway in fighting against the IS terrorists. At the same time, they have prevented the Iranians from establishing a land corridor from Iraq to southeastern Syria. The economic situation in Syria has deteriorated to a point where Assad loyalists in the district of Latakia, and other parts of Syria controlled by the Assad regime, are protesting against regime’s economic mismanagement. The recent U.S. sanctions that targeted Bashar Assad and his wife Asma, didn’t make life for the regime easier. Assad and his loyalists are also awaiting the upcoming U.S. elections, hoping for Trump’s defeat.

The coronavirus crisis in Lebanon worsened the already insolvent economy. Beirut is unable to repay its loans, and the Lebanese currency has lost much of its value. Inflation in Lebanon is out of control. Protesters in the streets of Beirut and Tripoli are blaming much of the malaise in the country on Hezbollah, which pulls the government strings behind the scenes. The protesters blame Hezbollah and its government of preferring the interests of Iran over those of the people of Lebanon. The American sanctions add to Lebanon’s financial tribulations. The government of Lebanon, like that of the Iranian and Syrian regimes, is praying for a Trump defeat.

An opinion piece in Egypt’s Daily News (June 10, 2020) by Mohamed El-Seidy, a member of Egypt’s Coalition of Party Youth Leaders and Politicians (CPYP) opined that, “The Trump administration proved efficient from the economic standpoint, bringing unemployment rates down to less than 2%. President Trump upheld his election promises, promises like ending the war and bringing the troops back, and getting proper financial remission from countries that have benefited from U.S. support, such as Saudi Arabia. He has also had success on promises he made to lower taxes, bringing businesses back to the US and creating jobs.” Given his disagreements with the Obama administration, it is likely that Egypt’s President al-Sisi would prefer a second Trump term. The U.S. has recently endorsed al-Sisi’s cease-fire agreement in Libya.

Saudi Arabia, and its Gulf Cooperation Council partners, would prefer a Trump victory. They support his Iran policy, and fear that the Democrats would return to the JCPOA, and a more pro-Iranian stance.

In Israel, the Netanyahu government is anxious to extend Israeli sovereignty to the Jordan Valley, and Israeli law to the Jewish communities therein, while Trump is in office. A majority of Israelis are opting for a Trump victory in November.

Και ακόμα σε θυμούνται η Σάντος και ο Πελέ! Ο Ολυμπιακός, σαν σήμερα το 1961, έγραψε για ακόμη μία φορά ιστορία. Ο Θρύλος κατάφερε να επικρατήσει με 2-1 της σπουδαίας τότε Σάντος του Πελέ στην κατάμεστη Λεωφόρο!

Οι «ερυθρόλευκοι» έβγαλαν τεράστια ψυχή στον αγωνιστικό χώρο και μπροστά στον κόσμο τους, έδειξαν σε όλο τον κόσμο τι σημαίνει Ολυμπιακός!

Η Σάντος του Πελέ, εκείνη την περίοδο, δεν έχανε ποτέ και από κανέναν. Κανέναν εκτός του τεράστιου Ολυμπιακού, ο οποίος έγινε μόλις η δεύτερη ομάδα που την κέρδισε εκείνη την εποχή!

Η μεγάλη Σάντος του Πελέ βρισκόταν σε περιοδεία, κερδίζοντας όλους τους αντιπάλους της, προσφέροντας θέαμα. Με τον Ολυμπιακό να καταφέρνει να την σταματά και να παίρνει μία τεράστια και ιστορική νίκη, η οποία τραγουδιέται από τον κόσμο των Πειραιωτών ακόμη και σήμερα!

Το σκορ άνοιξε στο 10’ ο Ποσειδώνας, ενώ στο 43’ με πολύ ωραίο σουτ του Σουρούνη, ο Θρύλος έκανε το 2-0. Οι Βραζιλιάνοι μείωσαν με εκτέλεση φάουλ του Ζίτο στο 50’, όμως ο Πελέ και η παρέα του εξουδετερώθηκαν και δεν μπόρεσαν να αποφύγουν την ήττα…

«Βόμβες» κατά του Δημήτρη Μελισσανίδη εξαπέλυσε ο Αλέξης Κούγιας! Ο ιδιοκτήτης της ΑΕΛ και γνωστός ποινικολόγος, μάλιστα, χαρακτήρισε κορόιδο τον Ιβάν Σαββίδη. Μεταξύ άλλων, ανέφερε αρχικά:

«Εδώ ο Μελισσανίδης βγήκε ο αρχάγγελος της κάθαρσης! Ποιος ο Μελισσανίδης; Παίρνει τηλέφωνο τον πρόεδρο της ΚΕΔ και του ζήταγε να αλλάξει τον διαιτητή του αγώνα Παναχαϊκής-ΑΕΚ και μετά από μια εβδομάδα τον έδειραν! Θέλει δηλαδή ο Μελισσανίδης να καθαρίσει το ποδόσφαιρο; Επανήλθε δηλαδή σαν σωτήρας ο Μελισσανίδης;

Ακούνε Μελισσανίδης και νομίζουν ότι πρόκειται για κάτι… φοβερό, είπε για τον Μαρινάκη ότι είπε μαμά στα 20, αλλά αυτός είπε ότι είναι δημιουργός, όχι αυτοδημιούργητος! Τη Δευτέρα θα καταθέσω στην Επιτροπή Δεοντολογίας και θα πω εγώ πως έστηναν παιχνίδια και τι γίνεται στο ελληνικό ποδόσφαιρο την τελευταία 20ετία. Θα πάω να πω τι είναι ο καθένας από αυτούς…

Εγώ κατήγγειλα την εγκληματική οργάνωση και αυτοί που είναι οι αρχηγοί αυτής της εγκληματικής οργάνωσης είναι στα γραφεία της ΑΕΚ, ο Γιάννης ο Παπαδόπουλος και ο Θωμάς Μητρόπουλος και τους διευθύνει ο Μελισσανίδης!

Όταν ακούω τον Μελισσανίδη να λέει ότι κυνηγάει την εγκληματική οργάνωση γελάω, γιατί αυτός έχει την εγκληματική οργάνωση. Δεν πήγε στα αποδυτήρια και χτύπησε τον Καρυπίδη και μετά έπιασε τον διαιτητή από τα γενετικά όργανα; Μου τα είπε όλα ο Καρυπίδης για το τι έγινε εκείνη την μέρα και ότι έφαγε ξύλο στα αποδυτήρια του ΟΑΚΑ».

Και πρόσθεσε για τον Σαββίδη: «Είναι κορόιδο ο Σαββίδης! Έβαλε τόσα λεφτά στο ποδόσφαιρο, για να κάνει κουμάντο ο Μελισσανίδης και να παίρνει τις Ενώσεις! Του δίνουν ένα… ξεροκόμματο, του κλέβουν τίτλους μέσα από το γήπεδο και δεν μπορεί να κάνει τίποτα. Του έκλεψαν πρωτάθλημα και Κύπελλο».

Erdoğan’ın açıklamalarından öne çıkanlar şöyle:

Στις νομοθετικές πρωτοβουλίες και τους στόχους του υπουργείου Εσωτερικών, το επόμενο διάστημα, ανάμεσα στους οποίους περιλαμβάνεται η θέσπιση συστήματος πανελλαδικών εξετάσεων για την απονομή ιθαγένειας σε αλλοδαπούς-αλλογενείς και ο αντισεισμικός έλεγχος όλων των σχολείων, αναφέρθηκε μιλώντας στον ΘΕΜΑ 104,6 ο Τάκης Θεοδωρικάκος.

«Μπαίνει τάξη στο ζήτημα της απονομής ιθαγένειας σε αλλοδαπούς αλλογενείς. Δεν γίνεται το σύστημα να έχει υποκειμενισμούς και να υπόκειται σε κινδύνους διαφθοράς. Δεν αλλάζουμε τις προϋποθέσεις που μπορεί κάποιος να γίνει Έλληνας, αλλά στη συνέχεια όλοι αυτοί περνούσαν από εξετάσεις σε επιτροπές που έχουν πολύ μεγάλη καθυστέρηση» εξήγησε ο υπουργός Εσωτερικών σημειώνοντας ότι «εκκρεμμούν αιτήσεις από το 2011».

Με αφορμή το πρόγραμμα «Αντώνης Τρίτσης» ο κ. Θεοδωρικάκος εξήγγειλε, επίσης, ότι «στόχος μας είναι να υπάρξει πλήρης αντισεισμική προστασία όλων των σχολείων και των δημόσιων κτηρίων, να ελεγχθούν όλα τα κρήρια και να γίνουν αναβαθμίσεις όπου χρειάζεται».

«Αυτό θα γίνει μέσα στο καλοκαίρι, οφείλει να γίνει μέσα στο καλοκαίρι. Θα βγουν οι προσκλήσεις το πρώτο 15ημερο του Ιουλίου και έχουμε λάβει πρόνοια να συμμετέχει και ο τελευταίος δήμος» πρόσθεσε ο υπουργός Εσωτερικών.

Εξήγησε, ακόμα, ότι τα έργα στο «Αντώνης Τρίτσης» έχουν περιβαλλοντικό χαρακτήρα ενώ ειδικά στις πόλεις «μιλάμε για έργα αστικής αναζωογόνησης που δίνουν άλλη πνοή με αναπλάσεις, χώρους στάθμευσης ενώ υπάρχει και ισχυρός κοινωνικός χαρακτήρας».

Παράλληλα ο κ. Θεοδωρικάκος είπε ότι «το επόμενο 6μηνο θα τακτοποιήσουμε το εκλογικό σύστημα της αυτοδιοίκησης γιατί η απλή αναλογική στην ιδεοληπτική της εφαρμογή δημιούργησε προβλήματα» προσθέτοντας ότι «ήταν πολύ θετικά τα στοιχεία του προηγούμενου συστήματος αλλά θα το συζητήσουμε με τους ανθρώπους της αυτοδιοίκησης».

Liberal Jewish Leaders Accuse Jews of Racism, Cover Up Anti-Semitism

Jewish lives don’t matter to Jewish allies of Black Lives Matter.

After Black Lives Matter – Los Angeles, a hate group which has partnered with the Nation of Islam and whose lead organizer praised Farrakhan, led a protest that resulted in mass attacks on Jewish schools, stores and synagogues, the leaders of 22 left-wing Jewish organizations signed letters condemning not the attacks, but the Jewish leader who spoke out against the antisemitism of the racist hate group. They made no reference to the BLM attacks on Jews.

The letters singled out Mort Klein, the President of the Zionist Organization of America, for describing Black Lives Matter as, among other things, “antisemitic,” “Israel hating”, and “extremist”. They did not offer a rebuttal to this accurate description because none is possible.

Instead, a letter signed by 16 members of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, accused Klein of hate and divisiveness. The letter’s signatories, including HIAS and Americans for Peace Now, included groups notorious for their hostility toward Israel.

A separate letter by a slate of militantly anti-Israel groups, including J Street, The New Israel Fund, which sponsors BDS hate groups, and T’ruah, which has led a soft BDS campaign against Israel, demanded Klein’s expulsion from the Conference. That aligns with their previous calls for the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Jews from historic parts of Israel.

The signatories to the letters by Conference members included the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, National Council of Jewish Women, whose previous CEO had signed a letter in defense of Linda Sarsour and agreed to work with antisemitic and anti-Israel groups, the Central Conference of American Rabbis, the Rabbinical Assembly, the Women of Reform Judaism, and Rick Jacobs, the anti-Israel head of the Union of Reform Judaism.

Jacobs had previously welcomed Ayman Odeh who heads Hadash, a merger of the local Communist Party, and whose current Joint List coalition includes a faction of the Muslim Brotherhood, and praised his, “inspiring vision”. But Jacobs doesn’t think that Klein has an inspiring vision, protesting that,  “Black Lives Matter is at the center of one of the most critical fights for justice in our country”, while accusing Klein of “Islamophobia” and “racism”.

The Union of Reform Judaism has been a reliably anti-Israel voice in the Jacobs era.

Jacobs opposed moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem and whined that, “Israel’s decision to bar U.S. Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar from entering the country is wrong”.

Last year, Jacobs attacked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for stating that Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria were “not inconsistent with international law”. These rants, like so many others by Jacobs, were all issued in the name of the Union of Reform Judaism.

While the Union of Reform Judaism found time to issue multiple press releases in support of Black Lives Matter, against the Jewish State, on the vital Jewish issue of withdrawing US troops from the Turkish-Syrian border, and in defense of Rep. Ilhan Omar, Jacobs and the URJ failed to acknowledge or offer solidarity to the victims of black nationalist terrorist attacks against a synagogue in New York and a Kosher grocery in New Jersey.

The URJ and Jacobs did manage to issue a press release over the shooting in a Texas Walmart and will respond to bomb threats and synagogue shootings, as long as they’re carried out by white nationalists. If your synagogue is attacked by a Neo-Nazi gunman, Jacobs and the URJ will acknowledge it, but if a Black Hebrew Israelite swinging a machete attacks your synagogue on Chanukah, Rick and the URJ will rush out a press release blasting Israel over something.

That’s the fundamental problem that Mort Klein was getting at. Jewish lives don’t matter to the URJ. Not in Israel and not in America. The only thing that matters is its left-wing politics.

While the Jewish community of Los Angeles witnessed its synagogues and schools vandalized and stores looted over Shavuot, Jonah Dov Pesner, the director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, was praising the “national rage” which saw bigots chanting “F____ Jews” and defacing the statue commemorating the Holocaust heroism of Raoul Wallenberg.

A URJ statement declaring that Black Lives Matter is a “Jewish value”, falsely accuses “white Jews” of perpetuating  “the systemic racial injustices on which the nation was founded.”

That’s a line that could have come from Farrakhan.

Even as Jacobs complains about divisiveness, the URJ is dividing Reform Jews by race.

The URJ’s embrace of Black Lives Matter includes the worst elements of its philosophy, including mandated intersectionality for Reform congregations, dismissal of colorblindness, and black supremacist resource texts that include Ta-Nehisi Coates and Ibram X. Kendi, as well as James Baldwin’s 70s essay, Negroes are Anti-Semitic Because They’re Anti-White.

There’s even a White-Ashkenazi Awareness Checklist.

The racist movement here isn’t the ZOA. It’s the signatories to the anti-Klein letter.

When Jacobs and 15 other Conference members sign on to a letter urging Jews to stand up “against senseless hatred and divisive bigotry” and “not to search for ways to keep us apart”, they might start by looking at their own embrace of divisive bigotry meant to keep us apart.

Mort Klein and the Zionist Organization of America are willing to address the everyday antisemitism that Jews in places like New York and Los Angeles have been experiencing. And they’re willing to do it even when the bigots aren’t members of a safely discredited ideology.

There’s no great courage in taking on Third Reich supporters in 2020. The time to do it was during the Holocaust while the FDR administration and Joseph Kennedy were warning American Jewish leaders to keep quiet about the mass murder of millions of Jews. Where were URJ’s marches, protests, and sit-ins while Jews were being shot and gassed?

Reform Jewish leaders had gone to Herbert Hoover and Roosevelt, asking them to issue a joint statement condemning the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany.

The Republican agreed and the Democrat didn’t.

Or take it from Morris Waldman, the former rabbinic leader of the prominent Temple Anshe Emeth, and the long deceased executive vice-president of the American Jewish Committee.

“Some Jewish groups have some too many times protested against Hitlerism,” Waldman complained.

Waldman is fondly remembered, within liberal Jewish organizational circles, as the “the first proponent of putting the human rights provisions in the United Nations Charter.”

There can hardly be a better summary of the utter moral bankruptcy of the same folks now accusing Jews of racism and white supremacy for fighting against antisemitism.

The Zionist Organization of America is part of the proud tradition of Jewish groups that refused to kneel to political correctness when Jews were being attacked by politically correct mobs.

Black Lives Matter is antisemitic. Its leaders declare that they’re Marxists. Portions of the movement are openly aligned with Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam. Synagogues and schools have been defaced and a Holocaust memorial was vandalized. But the organized kneelers are trying to silence any members of the Jewish community who speak out against antisemitism.

As the main targets of antisemitic violence, by either black or white nationalists, Jews and their synagogues need the police. By endorsing Black Lives Matter, the Union for Reform Judaism is undermining the safety and security of synagogues and worshipers across the country.

It’s time for URJ members to speak up and ask Rick Jacobs some hard questions.

Jewish history tells us that the real threat doesn’t come from those who speak too loudly about popular antisemitism, but those who remain too silent. There are far too many memorials and attacks on targets that carry no risk within their political cohort, and too little real resistance.

By speaking out, Morton Klein and the ZOA have offered real resistance to antisemitism.

Meanwhile, the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, National Council of Jewish Women, the Central Conference of American Rabbis, Jewish Women International, the Rabbinical Assembly, the Women of Reform Judaism, and the Union of Reform Judaism are complicit in covering up antisemitism and silencing those Jews who dare stand up to the vandalism of synagogues, schools, and Holocaust memorials by smearing them as racists.

Organizations that claim to speak for the Jewish community have sold it out instead.

The Jewish community does not need leaders who will accuse it of racism to score points at their Manhattan cocktail parties for the Public Art Fund, but real leaders who will stand up for it.

In an article accusing the Jewish community of racism, Rick Jacobs claimed that, “fighting racism and fighting antisemitism go hand in hand”.

We’ve seen a whole lot of the former and very little of the latter.

Fighting racism and antisemitism doesn’t go hand in hand when synagogues and schools are attacked, and Jews are shot, slashed and beaten.

The ugly truth is that Jacobs and other leaders of leftist groups would much rather fight Jews, whether in Israel or in America, than get up off his knees and fight for them. Fighting Jews is safe. Rehashing the rantings of Ibram X. Kendi and other fashionable black nationalists won’t get leftist leaders in trouble. Standing up to them over black nationalist antisemitism will.

Like their counterparts in the FDR era, they’re cowards and traitors, and they know it.

That’s why they’re going after the ZOA. There’s nothing that cowards hate more than brave men who stand up for the truth. The only thing more humiliating than selling out is knowing that there was another way. Rick Jacobs and the organizations targeting the ZOA want everyone in the Jewish community to kneel before the pogromists, the bigots, and the supremacist racists.

Their message is that if you don’t kneel, they will destroy you.

Over 2,300 years ago, there was a Jewish leader named Mordechai who would not kneel. For thousands of years, on the holiday of Purim, Jewish children have sung the name of a man who would not kneel to an antisemite. Kneeling is not extraordinary, refusing to do so is.

Many other Jewish leaders no doubt knelt. Their names have been lost to history.

Those Jewish leaders with weak knees today might ponder how they will be remembered.

Joseph Stalin Explains Covid-19, Black Lives Matter

Tragic vs. statistical deaths.

“One death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic.” This pithy aphorism—variants of which have been attributed to several historical figures, mostly Joseph Stalin—is key to understanding the hysteria that has dominated the first half of 2020 in the USA.

Its meaning seems simple enough: death only matters inasmuch as the ones dying are made to matter. Accordingly, if just one person dies—but you know (and presumably like) that person—such a death becomes “tragic.” Conversely, no matter how astronomical their number, the deaths of nameless and faceless people carry no “intimate”—that is to say, no emotional or sentimental—factor. They are just “statistics.” (This latter view is bolstered by the fact that death is inevitable and comes in a myriad of ways. So why obsess over or be shocked by it—especially when it comes to strangers?)

Communist dictator Joseph Stalin’s association with the axiom that “one death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic” is often referenced today to explain how he managed to kill millions of his own people. By seeing that his victims largely remained nameless and faceless, he ensured that their otherwise tragic deaths would appear as mere and inevitable statistics.

Ironically, while this would be an example of how a dictator can present his diabolical deeds as benign, since the start of 2020, the reverse tactic has been used in the US: a comparatively few deaths that, like so many before them, might have remained statistical, have been presented as personal tragedies in order to scare, demoralize, and demonize America.

To understand this, one must first put aside their emotions and objectively consider some facts (i.e., easily “triggered” types need read no further).

Enter COVID-19: when kept in context, the number of lives lost to this virus is unremarkable and has not warranted the virtual shutdown of the U.S. and its economy. Why? Because coronavirus is only one of many causes of “preventable deaths” in the U.S. As discussed here, about a million Americans die every year from preventable causes—meaning causes that, often more than coronavirus, can easily be, but are not, prevented. Although these deaths are exponentially more than those from coronavirus, the media never says a word about them; they are mere and inevitable “statistics.”

Why this disparity? Why provide us with the names, faces, and stories of those who have died from coronavirus—but never talk about the millions who have died from other preventable causes of deaths, including from similar diseases (like regular flu, which annually claims as many as 80,000 American lives)? Why constantly show us a red bar on every news screen noting every single death caused by coronavirus—but never show us a similar graph of the many millions more who died from other preventable causes? Why not have a constant graph showing us how many Americans die annually—nearly three million in 2018, or 7,708 every day—and how they die?

In short, every death from coronavirus has been intentionally turned into a personal tragedy, while millions of deaths from similarly preventable and sometimes more tragic causes in the U.S.—40,000 from car accidents, 41,000 from second-hand smoke, the list goes on and on—have remained a statistic; things we just learn to live with.

Then there was the George Floyd incident: while arresting a black man, a white police officer killed him. America has since been on fire; listening to the media, one would think that racism is so embedded in America that all across its streets police are randomly arresting, torturing, and murdering black men. Accordingly, widespread violence, looting, burning, the destruction and decapitation of America’s heritage—even the “annexation” of territory in Seattle—are the inevitable backlash that must be patiently endured.

And yet, the irony remains: if black lives matter—and they certainly do—shouldn’t we start by saving the exponentially more black lives lost at the hands of other blacks? Every year, several thousand blacks are murdered by other blacks in the streets of America; between just 1979 and 2014, 324,000 blacks were killed by other blacks. Indeed, just this last weekend, 85 were shot, and 24 died—including a 3-year-old and a 13-year-old girl—in Chicago alone.

And yet, this is a non-talking point for the media; these thousands of needlessly and tragically lost black lives are a statistic.

Does all this mean that deaths caused by police or new diseases should be ignored?  Of course not; they should be and are being addressed—and that’s a good thing.  The point here is that, whenever the media obsess over one kind of death—while ignoring the rest—they clearly have an agenda: in this case, to sow fear, hatred, and division.

Joseph Stalin knew how this works; so do his neo-Marxist successors in America.

Exposing the Lies of Black Lives Matter

Where black racism and Marxism are dressed up as “social justice.”

Black Lives Matter (BLM) was established in 2013 by a trio of self-identified Marxist revolutionaries. Striving to make white Americans “uncomfortable about institutional racism” and the “structural oppression” that allegedly “prevents so many [black people] from realizing their dreams,” BLM contends that blacks living under America’s “white supremacist system” are routinely targeted for “extrajudicial killings … by police and vigilantes.” That claim has become an article of faith for the millions of American leftists who dutifully parrot BLM’s talking points. The remainder of this article is dedicated to providing hard data which exposes BLM’s worldview as nothing more than a mountain of malicious lies.

Debunking BLM’s Claims About Police Use of Force

A major Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) report in 2001 examined incidents where police in the United States used deadly force to kill criminal suspects between 1976 and 1998. During that 23-year span, 42% of all suspects killed by police were black – a figure that comported precisely with the percentage of violent crimes committed by African Americans during that same period. This is enormously significant because we would expect that in police forces not plagued by systemic racism, officers would shoot suspects of various racial or ethnic backgrounds at rates closely resembling their respective involvement in the types of serious crimes most likely to elicit the use of force by police. And indeed, that is exactly what the evidence shows.

The same BJS report found that in nearly two-thirds of all justifiable homicides by police during 1976-98, the officer’s race and the suspect’s race were the same. When a white or Hispanic officer killed a suspect, that suspect was usually (63% of the time) white or Hispanic as well. And when a black officer killed a suspect, that suspect was usually black (81% of the time).

The BJS report also examined the rate at which officers killed suspects of other racial or ethnic backgrounds. In 1998, the “black-officer-kills-black-felon” rate was 32 per 100,000 black officers, more than double the rate at which white and Hispanic officers killed black felons (14 per 100,000). That same year, the rate at which white and Hispanic officers killed white or Hispanic felons (28 per 100,000) was much higher than the “black-officer-kills-white-or-Hispanic-felon” rate of 11 per 100,000.

In 1999, criminologists Geoffrey Alpert and Roger Dunham confirmed once again that police officers were more likely to use force against suspects of their own racial group, than against suspects from another racial group.

A 2011 BJS study which covered the period from 2003 to 2009 sheds further light on the issue of police use of force against people of various racial and ethnic backgrounds. Of all suspects who are known to have been killed by police during that 7-year time frame, 41.7% were white, 31.7% were black, and 20.3% were Hispanic. It is also worth noting that during the 2003-2009 period—when blacks were 31.7% of all suspects killed by an officer—blacks accounted for about 38.5% of all arrests for violent crimes, which are the types of crimes most likely to trigger potentially deadly confrontations with police. These numbers do not in any way suggest a lack of restraint by police in their dealings with black suspects. On the contrary, they strongly suggest exactly the opposite.[1]

In 2015, a Justice Department study of the Philadelphia Police Department found that black officers were 67 percent more likely than their white colleagues to mistakenly shoot an unarmed black suspect, and Hispanic officers were 145 percent more likely to do the same. That same year, a study of the New York Police Department by criminology professor Greg Ridgeway found that black officers were 3.3 times more likely than their white peers to discharge their guns in the course of their work. So much for the notion of trigger-happy white cops.

In any given year, a mere 0.6 percent of black men report that physical force of any kind – including mild actions like pushing and grabbing – is used against them by the police. The corresponding figure for white men is approximately 0.2 percent. Though both figures are infinitesimally small, critics of the police are quick to complain that the figure for blacks is three times higher than the figure for whites. But as National Review points out, that disparity is fully accounted for by the fact that “black men commit violent crimes at much higher rates than white men,” as evidenced by data from the annual National Crime Victimization Survey.

The available data indicate that a mere 0.08 percent of black men and white men alike are injured by police in any given year. This figure includes injuries sustained as a result of police actions that are legally justified, and often necessary, in order to thwart criminal behavior.

In a 2018 working paper titled “An Empirical Analysis of Racial Differences in Police Use of Force,” Harvard economist Roland Fryer, who is African American, reported that police officers in Houston were nearly 24 percent less likely to shoot black suspects than white suspects. In a separate analysis of officer shootings in three Texas cities, six Florida counties, and the city of Los Angeles, Fryer found that: (a) officers were 47 percent less likely to discharge their weapon without first being attacked if the suspect was black, than if the suspect was white; (b) black and white individuals shot by police were equally likely to have been armed at the time of the shootings; (c) white officers were no more likely to shoot unarmed blacks than unarmed whites; (d) black officers were more likely to shoot unarmed whites than unarmed blacks; and (e) black officers were more likely than white officers to shoot unarmed whites. There is no evidence of anti-black racism in any of these findings, though some of them do seem to suggest an anti-white bias.

A 2019 study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences shows that white officers are no more likely than black or Hispanic officers to shoot black civilians. “In fact,” writes Manhattan Institute scholar Heather Mac Donald, the study found that “if there is a bias in police shootings after crime rates are taken into account, it is against white civilians.” Specifically, Mac Donald adds, the authors of the study compiled a database of 917 officer-involved fatal shootings in 2015 and found that 55 percent of the victims were white, 27 percent were black, and 19 percent were Hispanic.

Each and every year, without exception, whites who are shot and killed by police officers in the U.S. far outnumber blacks and Hispanics who meet that same fate. In 2017, for instance, 457 whites, 223 blacks, and 179 Hispanics were killed by police officers in the line of duty. In 2018, the corresponding figures were 399 whites, 209 blacks, and 148 Hispanics. And in 2019, the totals were 370 whites, 235 blacks, and 158 Hispanics. There is not a hint of anti-black racism anywhere in these figures.

When we compare black rates of violent crime, with the rate at which blacks are shot and killed by police officers, we find that blacks are represented among those shooting victims at rates significantly lower than we would have expected in light of their crime rates. For example, in 2017, blacks were just 23.6% of all people shot dead by police, even though they were arrested for 37.5% of all violent crimes. The following year, blacks were 26.3% of those fatally shot by police, even as they were arrested for fully 37.4% of violent crimes.

According to Heather Mac Donald: “The per capita rate of officers being feloniously killed is 45 times higher than the rate at which unarmed black males are killed by cops. And an officer’s chance of getting killed by a black assailant is 18.5 times higher than the chance of an unarmed black getting killed by a cop.”

Debunking BLM’s Claims About Interracial Crime Against Blacks

In 2012 and 2013, blacks in the U.S. committed an annual average of 560,600 violent crimes (excluding homicide) against whites, while whites committed a yearly average of 99,403 violent crimes against blacks. In other words, blacks were the attackers in about 85 percent of all violent crimes involving blacks and whites, while whites were the attackers in 15 percent.[2]

When white offenders committed crimes of violence (excluding homicide) against either whites or blacks in 2012-13, they targeted white victims 95.8 percent of the time, and they went after black victims a mere 4.1 percent of the time. By contrast, when black offenders committed crimes of violence against either whites or blacks in 2012-13, they targeted white victims a whopping 48.5 percent of the time, and they went after black victims 51.4 percent of the time.[3] If we factor into the equation the relative sizes of America’s white and black populations, we find that, statistically, any given black person in 2012-13 was about 27 times more likely to attack a white, than vice versa.

In more recent years, the disproportionate prevalence of black-on-white crime has only gotten worse. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, in 2018 there were 593,598 interracial violent victimizations (excluding homicide) between blacks and whites in the United States. Blacks committed 537,204 of those interracial felonies, or 90.4 percent, while whites committed 56,394 of them, or about 9.5 percent.

When white offenders committed crimes of violence against either whites or blacks in 2018, they targeted white victims 97.3 percent of the time, and they went after black victims 2.6 percent of the time. By contrast, when black offenders committed crimes of violence against either whites or blacks during that same year, they targeted white victims 58 percent of the time, and they went after black victims 42 percent of the time.[4]

City Journal reports that according to Justice Department data, blacks in 2018 were overrepresented among the perpetrators of offenses classified as “hate crimes” by a whopping 50 percent—while whites were underrepresented by 24 percent.

The facts presented above can lead us to only one possible conclusion: BLM’s claim that African Americans are routinely targeted for “extrajudicial killings … by police and vigilantes” is a monstrous lie. The purpose of the lie is to cause Americans of all races to detest their own country, so as to promote a desire to raze the nation’s traditions to the ground, and to then erect a new Marxist utopia upon its ruins.

Red China Moves on Hong Kong

The snuffing out of freedom – and what it portends.

 

I was fortunate enough to be in Hong Kong on July 1, 1997, traveling with a group headed by the estimable Bruce Herschensohn. It was an extraordinary, if bittersweet trip, seeing the British ships sail out of Hong Kong harbor on the evening of July 1st. The lowering of the Union Jack across the city allowed a moment of great sadness, a passing of an era, given way to a future of trepidation and worry.

On the trip, we were honored to meet the politician and freedom fighter, Martin Lee. Lee was just recently arrested and freed, but will now, almost certainly, be under threat of harassment and further arrests. William McGurn, then senior editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review, also spoke to us, offering some hope, but tinged with warning. That week marked a pivotal moment in history, one that anyone present in Hong Kong at the time will never forget.

Promises and guarantees were made; Hong Kong was given 50 years of freedom, under the now-infamous “one country, two systems” policy of administration. And, indeed, it did work. For just over 20 years, Hong Kong was the gateway and engine that helped propel China to a remarkable economic takeoff, lifting millions out of poverty. Hong Kong was the portal for the rest of the world into China, and the city continued to thrive. Rule of law, security of contracts, an independent judiciary and a free press were all legacies of British rule.

All of this, however, was snuffed out in recent days with the new national-security law imposed on Hong Kong by mainland China. Simply put, Hong Kong has lost its freedom.

It certainly didn’t go down without a fight; the past months have seen countless protests and demonstrations from the freedom-loving people of Hong Kong. It has been a sight to behold, watching thousands of demonstrators in the streets of Hong Kong carrying American flags, speaking the words of freedom and liberty. It is awe-inspiring to see that America is still the beacon that all look to, a light of freedom that casts its radiance to every corner of the globe.

This makes it so heartaching and devastatingly ironic that while the American flag, and the American ideal, is so revered in the hearts and souls of these brave freedom fighters on the streets of Hong Kong, we see, here in our own country, on our very streets, the flag and the great promise and idea of America spat upon, torn down and denigrated.

Hong Kong was supposed to have 50 years of freedom. Promises made, promises broken. But are we really surprised? We had false illusions that a semi-free, market capitalist economic system would somehow change the politics of the Chinese leadership and government. Those hopes have been dashed. And what now comes next?

A huge looming question is, how much longer does Taiwan remain free? Even with the defense agreements and close ties between Taiwan and the United States, there is no doubt that the PRC will move quickly to incorporate Taiwan into the mainland. The Anschluss isn’t over, there are other bites of the apple that a voracious Red China is after.

We need to understand what we are facing; China endured what they call, and view, to be a hundred years of national humiliation. From the First Opium War in 1839 to the Communist takeover in 1949, China was carved up and made subservient to England and other powers, Japan included. The foreign treaties, the loss of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other slices of the Chinese Empire, the dumping of opium and the ravages from that epidemic, wrought devastation.

As an aside, if you wonder why China is flooding the U.S. with fentanyl and other highly addictive narcotics, causing untold addiction and death among the American populace, look no further than the parallel of the British importing of opium into China in the 19th Century.

The leaders of Red China have not forgotten these infringements on their autonomy; now that they have the opportunity, they will attempt to redress each of these grievances. It is not a question of if they will move on Taiwan, but rather when. Taiwan is the next step, the first of many. China will adopt the same tactics to its disputes with other Asian countries, primarily over the Spratly Islands dispute with Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Brunei. There is also the dispute over the Senkaku Islands, or as China calls it, the Diaoyu Islands, with Japan.

It is critical to realize that we are not dealing with a sclerotic Soviet Union of the 1980’s. We must take the blinders off and realize what we are facing. Where the Soviet Union was faltering on the verge of collapse in the final years of the Cold War, China is a nation at the height of its power. China is no longer a backward, rural, Third World country making cheap plastic garbage and products destined only for Wal-Mart shelves. In many of areas of artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum physics, advanced technology and more, they are not just catching up to us — they have already surpassed us.

The pronouncements that China is poised for an imminent collapse are simply deluded but also beside the point. Even if we thought this might happen, we have to prepare for the opposite: a continued resurgent China reaching superpower status with designs on being the superpower by mid-century.

A final thought and hope: America needs to one-up British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his idea of offering refugee status to all those in Hong Kong who want to pack up and leave the coming dictatorship and authoritarian rule and move to Britain. Let them bring their dreams and love of liberty to our shores and enable them to thrive in America. We are still the last and best hope for liberty. That holds true, even with so many here now seeking to impose a Chinese-style authoritarian rule here at home.

A Biden Donor Will Produce a Chinese Propaganda Movie About the Wuhan Virus

Hollywood and Biden are Made in China.

Hollywood is Made in China.

The same movie stars who eagerly condemn America have remained silent about the Chinese Communist abuses in Hong Kong. Hollywood studios bring their scripts to Communist Party censors for approval and add on scenes glorifying the PRC regime that Americans never see.

But now Hollywood is hitting a new low.

Charles Randolph, the Hollywood hack responsible for leftist shlock like The Big Short and Bombshell, will write and direct a movie filmed in China about the Wuhan Virus. The Oscar winner’s movie will focus on China’s “heroic medical community” confronting a “mysterious virus”.

The Communist regime would not allow a movie to be filmed inside its borders that did not wholly reflect its political agenda. Hollywood has to run scripts by its censors for movies that are made outside China. A movie made inside China would be straightforward regime propaganda.

SK Global, the producers of the Wuhan flick, are backed by the China Cultural and Entertainment Fund. Yang Liu, the head of CCEF, is one of the country’s most powerful women, and had come out of the CITIC Group, a state-owned company. She had previously been an investor in,The Founding of an Army, a Communist propaganda flick celebrating the Chinese Communist military that had been solicited by the regime.

The People’s Republic’s complicity in covering up and spreading the Wuhan Virus has made for bad publicity and worse relations with the rest of the world. The Communist dictatorship is on the verge of war with India, facing trade wars with the United States and Australia, and on bad terms with half of Europe. Not only did the PRC regime spread the virus around the world, but its profiteering from the sale of PPEs, many of which were defective, made matters worse.

The PRC would understandably like to reset the narrative from the very beginning, back when it was covering up the spread of the virus by going after the doctors who were getting the word out. And Hollywood appears to be offering the PRC a propaganda film that would revise the record while carrying the name of an industry figure with a shiny golden Oscar to his name.

Randolph has just come off the failure of Bombshell, one of two Hollywood projects targeting FOX News. While the industry has yet to make a single movie about monsters like Harvey Weinstein or Leslie Moonves, it rushed out two movies about Roger Ailes, one of them, The Loudest Voice, shamelessly released by a subsidiary of Moonves’ CBS, and the other, Bombshell, by Lionsgate: which had its own #MeToo scandal that it wouldn’t touch.

Bombshell failed miserably for the same reason that The Founding of an Army did. Shameless propaganda is boring. But now Randolph, a veteran of leftist shlock like The Big Short and Bombshell, gets to write and direct for the big leagues, not of Hollywood, but leftism.

The leftist leagues don’t get any bigger than the Communist Party thugs ruling China.

The SK in SK Global stands for Sidney Kimmel. The entertainment industry and fashion billionaire is a Biden backer and is considered a major donor to lefty causes. He is the 32nd biggest donor to Biden’s Unite the Country PAC. And that may not be a coincidence. Biden is notorious for having helped broker the adulterous wedding of Hollywood and Communist China.

The Biden connection raises yet more questions about his ties to Communist China.

Biden helped get Hollywood movies released in China and industry cash poured into his campaign. Hollywood traded the influx of Communist money for whatever integrity it had left.

Hollywood went from making movies critical of China to spewing regime propaganda on cue.

But delivering a revisionist history of the Wuhan Virus for the brutal Communist regime is another low even for an industry which had in the past pandered to Hitler and Stalin.

The tragedy is that there is an important story to tell about the origins of the pandemic. And there were heroic doctors who grappled with the onset of the Wuhan Virus. But their stories would never be told by the regime. Worse still, projects like these usurp those stories and transform their lives and deaths of brave men and women into propaganda for their killers.

Yet the same industry that can produce and release a project like Chernobyl, which grappled with the complicity of Russia’s Communist elite in the nuclear disaster, won’t touch their story.

Whatever garbage Randolph shoves out won’t hold a candle to the real filmmakers, the courageous amateurs and professionals who documented life in Wuhan under lockdown. They told the story to the world without the budget that Randolph will have at his command, and without much of the expensive equipment and professional actors, but they told the truth.

They risked their lives to tell the truth that Randolph and a Biden donor are trying to erase.

The film industry’s power as an instrument of mass propaganda has fallen a long way since the glory days of Leni Riefenstahl and Sergei Eisenstein, or even Michael Moore and Oliver Stone. The power of the moving image to influence has shifted from the big screen to the small screen and then to the smallest screens with viral videos able to define and transform our politics.

A propaganda film about the Wuhan Virus is going to be as outdated as posting handbills.

But that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t take action against the growing collaboration of the entertainment industry with an enemy regime by, among other things, reviewing the sweetheart deals that allow big industry companies to enjoy privileged tax breaks and other arrangements.

Disney, for example, has repeatedly lobbied to extend copyright terms in order to keep the rights to Mickey Mouse and all his friends. The company’s rights to Mickey should have expired in the 70s. Instead Congress repeatedly extended it until it’s now set to expire in 2023. As the date draws closer, Disney, which has been reinvented a leftist propaganda mill that panders aggressively to Communist China, will begin lobbying Congress for yet another extension.

Republican voters should make it clear to their representatives that Disney shouldn’t get it.

Like an unfaithful starlet, Hollywood has spent more time cheating on the nation it grew out of than keeping faith with it. Generations have listened to leftist sermons from an industry that is thoroughly corrupt in its values and has collaborated with Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Islamist regimes, and now, Communist China. It’s time to hold Hollywood accountable.

Hollywood churning out anti-American propaganda while glorifying Communist China is bad enough. But producing a revisionist history about the virus that has killed so many people on behalf of the Communist regime responsible for their deaths, should be a burning red line.

The Wuhan Virus movie is a red line that stretches directly to Joe Biden.

Biden should be challenged to return the $100K from the profiteers of Communist China’s revisionist history of the virus and make a full reckoning of his collaboration with the PRC.

Konuya dair pek çok kesimden açıklamalar gelirken, birtakım CHP’li siyasiler ve gazeteciler Ayasofya Camii’nin ibadete açılmasına karşı çıkmıştı. Öyle ki bir Haziran ayının başında, TBMM kürsüsüne çıkıp konuşma yapan CHP İstanbul Milletvekili İbrahim Kaboğlu, Ayasofya’nın ibadete açılması şöyle dursun, Sultanahmet Camii’nin de müze olması gerektiğini savunarak büyük bir skandala imza atmıştı.

Yapılan anketlere göre halkın yüzde 80’i Ayasofya Camii’nin tekrar ibadete açılmasını istiyor. CHP’liler, anket sonuçlarını görünce halka oynamak için Ayasofya konusunda ağız değiştirdi. Çark eden CHP’liler, şimdi de Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın bir kararname ile Ayasofya’yı tekrar açabileceğini söylemeye başladı.

Independent Türkçe’ye konuşan CHP Genel Başkanı Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Erdoğan’ın Ayasofya üzerinden oy kazanmaya çalıştığını iddia ederek kararname çıkarılması gerektiğini söyledi. Kılıçdaroğlu, “Sen eğer bunu kullanıyorsan siyaseten, ‘Cami olarak açtığım takdirde oyum artacaktır’ diyorsan ve hedefi böyle koyup, ‘Acaba ben bunu söylediğimde CHP bana itiraz eder de ben de buradan oy devşiririm’ diye düşünüyorsa, hayır bunu düşünmesin. Otursun, hemen kararnameyi imzalasın. Resmi gazetede ilan etsin. Ayasofya’yı da ibadete açsın. Bu kadar basit.” dedi.

Kim oy kazanmaya çalışıyor?

Kılıçdaroğlu’nun Erdoğan’ı Ayasofya üzerinden oy kazanmaya çalışmakla suçlaması trajikomik bir durum olarak kayıtlara geçti. Mütedeyyin siyasetçilerin 1934’ten sonra sürekli gündemde tuttuğu Ayasofya konusunda Erdoğan’ın atacağı adım daha başından beri belliydi. CHP’liler ise Ayasofya’nın açılmasına karşı çıkıp Sultanahmet’i bile müze yapmak istiyordu. Anket sonuçları gelince çark eden CHP’nin, şimdi Ayasofya’nın açılmasına destek vermesi ve hâlâ Erdoğan’ı oy kazanmaya çalışmakla suçlaması, komik bir durum olarak akıllara kazındı.

Report: Israel caused explosion at Iran nuclear site

A Kuwati paper quotes a “senior security source” as saying the explosion was the result of an airstrike conducted by the IDF’s F-35 stealth jet.

A fire and an explosion early Thursday morning that struck a building above Iran’s underground Natanz uranium enrichment facility was caused by an Israeli cyber attack, according to the Kuwaiti al-Jarida newspaper.

U.S.-based analysts have identified the site as a new centrifuge production plant.

The al-Jarida report, published Friday, quotes a “senior security source” as saying the explosion was the result of an airstrike conducted by the IDF’s F-35 stealth jet.

The blast, the Kuwaiti paper said, made a “crack” in the reactor building.

Early Thursday, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (IAEO) sought to downplay the fire at the top-secret nuclear facility, where it is widely believed the Islamic Republic is enriching uranium for use in nuclear weapons, calling it an “incident.”

The explosion occurred less than a week after a massive explosion rocked the Parchin military site in Iran’s capital city Tehran.
